Talk: Mr Star Wars AminoRepublic

Hi, and thank you for your edits on the Timeline of galactic history page! Please note that the TCW citation template has been created specifically to format references to TCW episodes, so I'd appreciate it if you put it to good use when editing! Cheers, Imperators II 21:19, December 27, 2017 (UTC)

Please. For now, I'll continue to flag them for deletion. There isn't a way to change an image's name after it has been posted. You should also read Wookieepedia:Images for later.--ZapikCZ (talk) 18:57, February 22, 2018 (UTC)

Hello, please remember when you upload images to include this template or by using this and filling out the table to ensure that your images don't get deleted, thanks --Lewisr (talk) 19:07, February 22, 2018 (UTC)

Hello, please take a look at this to look at how the referencing is done for future reference when you're sourcing your edits on articles, thanks --Lewisr (talk) 04:56, February 15, 2019 (UTC)

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary does not use BBY/ABY so therefore we need to explain how the BSI/ASI system it uses converts to BBY/ABY, look at how its done on Mission to Pasaana and that should help show what needs to be done, let me know if you have any questions --Lewisr (talk) 15:26, December 25, 2019 (UTC)

Hello, BSI or ASI is not an in universe dating system so please stop adding years being ID'ed as 29 BSI etc, its just something Pablo used to no doubt make it easy for people to follow dates for TROS --Lewisr (talk) 02:02, December 26, 2019 (UTC)

So I’ve seen you adding Star Wars Resistance based on the Rise of Skywalker dictionary. Thank you for that, but doesn’t it place Station to Station as being half way after the Starkiller incident? Therefore, at least to me, I feel like it’s possible that something being in 0 BSI and halfway after Starkiller is already 35 ABY in the main calendar.--Editoronthewiki (talk) 16:09, February 9, 2020 (UTC)

If I recalled, it was not outright said. I probably shouldn't be too harsh on that and accept them as 14 BBY, but the Rise of Skywalker Dictionary's 12 BBY dating makes me unsettled. However, given how long construction took, I suppose it makes sense.--Editoronthewiki (talk) 03:32, February 13, 2020 (UTC)

Hello. Just to let you know Rrrn is a status article so any changes you make should typically be recommended through the talk page first. As for Kkkt, we have a nomination page for you to recommend the date note through. I have my own reasons for reverting, being that the issues the note apply to are prior to Kkkt and Rrrn's appearance. Thanks! Braha'tok enthusiast (talk) 07:50, February 13, 2020 (UTC)

You should see a tab labeled community on the banner of the site. It is in between the navigation tab and the explore tab. Once there, go to “add new topic,” but don’t press that button until you’ve given your post a title in the available space. Then you write your argument and sign your name like you would a talk page. From there, people can respond. I hope this helps--Editoronthewiki (talk) 18:38, February 13, 2020 (UTC)

Hi, after programming my bot to fix comic italicisation sitewide, please ensure you remember to format comic titles in the proper way, in accordance with this, like so. Thanks, Tommy Macaroni 21:08, February 13, 2020 (UTC)

If a source like a reference book doesn't mention a character by name then you can't add it to the Sources directly. e.g. Crag and the other stormtroopers, they only need Imo since the book mentions troopers who were sent to Tatooine. UberSoldat93 (talk) 02:01, February 19, 2020 (UTC)

Please note that the list of planets by nature should only list objects confirmed to be planets. Many of the locations you added have not been explicitly stated to be planets in canon, so we cannot say for sure what they are. Zed42 (talk) 03:35, March 9, 2020 (UTC)

If a subject is shown in a picture in the episode guide, but it provides no info (e.g. DC-17 hand blaster), then you must put Po after the guide to indicate that there is no new information on the subject from this source. UberSoldat93 (talk) 18:20, May 8, 2020 (UTC)

Hello! I notice you're changing the dates on some of the Poe comic events. You still need to explain how its between 32 ABY and 33 ABY since the note still reads as though it should be 32 ABY - 34 ABY, so if you include the bit about Resistance starting in 33 ABY that will sort it. Hi! I'm not actually moving any pages, just marking unnecessary redirects with the /Canon suffix for deletion, since they're no longer needed. Toqgers (talk) 04:54, May 16, 2020 (UTC)

Hello, we probably should wait until we start getting more regular releases of comics before we start moving pages. We currently don't have any proof the series is getting to issue 13 let alone all the way to 27. Its a bit premature to move all of these pages right now, therefore we should revert the changes for now --Lewisr (talk) 01:21, May 18, 2020 (UTC)

I know this has been briefly touched on above, but I wanted to give you an official warning about this. After spending a decent amount of time cleaning up the mess you made with your most recent set of comic moves, I'm informing you that if you continue to make similar unnecessary mass page moves again, you will be blocked from editing. Comic titles are a contested issue, and most are where they need to be as agreed in CTs. You moving whole groups of pages only confuses this system and breaks redirects and disambiguations pages. Not to mention other users then have to spend their time having to pick up after you when the pages are inevitably moved back. TommyMacaroni 13:33, May 20, 2020 (UTC)

Hey, thank you for minimizing my work for me on adding the Open Circle Fleet link to the appearances on some articles, but for many of them, you have caused me an accidental edit conflict. Don't worry, it's fine, just please be careful when editing articles related to the topic undergoing a major edit. I hope I'm not coming off as... rude in any possible way. 19:10, May 22, 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for signing up to help with the inaugural Project Stardust! I had a request for The Clone Wars and Rebels updates. As you are going through the episodes for updates, would you be able to also check for information relevant to an "Equipment" section and add that information to this workbench? If you need help knowing what goes in an Equipment section, you can see the Layout Guide for help. I'll monitor the edits made to that workbench and make sure each person's contributions flows and fits together with the others and then add it to the article when it's ready. MasterFredcerique 21:42, May 23, 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for adding backup links. When adding backups, please add the links to the repository, and remove the links from the list of instances on the project page where necessary. UberSoldat93 (talk) 18:51, May 26, 2020 (UTC)

Hey, I may put in a bot request for everything in the Practical appearances box, since bot edits don't appear on Recent Changes like ours because we're kind of clogging it up. 17:53, June 2, 2020 (UTC)

Hey, this is just a heads up that the template for Canon Confederacy navy units already exists, but coexists with all Canon Separatist military units in . Just thought I'd let you know before you made the template for it since I saw a prototype template on your workbench for it. 00:43, June 3, 2020 (UTC)

Sure thing. Just getting things done sooner that way adding the source link monotonously won't be as long, therefore you'd only have to add Mentioned only/Indirect mention only anything like that. 07:54, June 5, 2020 (UTC)

I noticed you edited apparently all of The Clone Wars episode pages to change the "Bibliography" section to "External Links", located below the references. Thing is, all of those links were from official Star Wars sources, and according to … that qualifies as Bibliography, which is supposed to be above the references. Only stuff from IMDB, pop-culture sites and the like (basically, not an official Lucasfilm-related source) is supposed to be in External Links.

Basically, I am sorry to say, all of those particular edits appear to have been unnecessary. If you want to check the Layout Guide I linked to, the relevant info is near the bottom. SilverSunbird (talk) 04:51, June 7, 2020 (UTC)

Hi, please don't use the citation tag on page where there is only one source. Hk 47 (talk) 08:21, June 8, 2020 (UTC)

Hey, AminoRepublic! I noticed that you've been creating some image categories lately (i.e. Category:Images from Score). However, as a general rule of thumb, categories should only be created if they contain at least two pages/files. They don't really serve any purpose otherwise. - Cwedin 09:19, June 12, 2020 (UTC)

I've already asked you nicely on Discord but as you've carried on anyway: please stop changing the location of the quotes like here. Per Wookieepedia:Manual_of_Style#Formatting: "When pipelinking, always place all characters inside the link brackets. Examples: Italics: Subjugator, not Subjugator". Please stop, or further action will be taken. I swore I left the code above the line alone before I finished the edit, but it looks like taking out the last space below the text saying edit below here took out all of the code for the Jundland Wastes sandbox. I tried undoing the edit, but for some reason it wouldn’t let me or maybe I just don’t know enough yet. On a similar note why is there history going back several years if the sandbox is cleared regularly by either a bot or by an admin? TIE Hunter (talk) 07:25, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

Hey Amino. I noticed you've moved a couple Canon pages to their namesake without the "/Canon". I thought of doing that myself but I saw that eksbot just got around to them a few hours back and is probably still working it. You may notice that many of those redlinks still have Legends pages linking to them (I believe that's eksbot's next batch of work) so you should hold on moving those pages until after the linking articles are all moved by bots to the Legends correspondent. Winterz (talk) 06:35, 13 December 2020 (UTC)

Since you asked nicely, I'll explain: Basically, I was trying to keep the Character page focused on the Character.

The part I straight up cut out was because I felt that it was external(not the best word to describe it, I think) to the character herself, particularly at that point. It was trying to introduce Din and tell too much of his backstory, both in general and by the fact that he hadn't actually crossed paths with Ahsoka just yet. This particular event is also covered in other pages already, chiefly the entry for the episode in general and the one for the event itself, to say nothing of the individual pages for each of the characters involved. This page, or rather this section of the page, is about chronicling the life of a single character. Putting in Din Djarin's backstory and motivations right there is like saying "But hey, let's leave the person you're here to read about and let's talk about this guy instead for a while!", especially when the time to give that information comes up literally a few paragraphs later when he actually crosses her path, then explains himself.

And the second part, where I truncate the fight between her and Din, is for much of the same reason, actually. There are entries where blow-by-blow descriptions of fights belong. If a reader really wants to know exactly how a fight went down, there are actual articles dedicated to these battles as events in and of themselves. In a character page, the reader needs to know that a battle occurred and the overall outcome, but detailed descriptions are the purview of other types of articles.

I hope I explained myself without being overly confrontational.SAMAS (talk) 05:00, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi. I wanted to point out to you that this article () does not, in fact, state that "Starlight: Hidden Danger" is two short stories: if you look at the relevant section (second entry), you'll see that "Hidden Danger" is in quotation marks, but part I is not. I realize you think that short stories published in two parts in Star Wars Insider should have separated articles, but the formatting does not agree with you, and your move of the article page was not necessary or accurate to the released information. Just a head's up for the future, since it appears that every Star Wars: The High Republic: Starlight short story is going to be a two-parter. SilverSunbird (talk) 04:54, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi! It appears that some of the references that you have made for several Star Wars: Legion articles are currently broken. As is the case with E-Web Heavy Blaster Team Unit Expansion. In addition, Reflist seems to missing from those pages as well. CT-1742 (talk) 02:23, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

Hello. Since you reverted my changes in Anchorhead, I would like to hear your reply on the matter in Talk:Anchorhead. It's established that the location was Tosche Station in multiple sources (the episode itself, most importantly, and the highlights of the episode), and it's established that Tosche Station is outside of Anchorhead in multiple reference books. Thanks.PureBeskar (talk) 08:58, 18 March 2022 (UTC)

I don't know why you reverted that edit - the most widely used definition for DLC is content that is added to the game after release that is optional. You cannot play Star Wars Squadrons without the update that added the Defender and B-Wing. If it is added after release and is mandatory, it's an update. If it's added after release and is optional, it's DLC. Either way, my edit made the information more accurate by specifying specifically what it was.~Tora (To4oo4) (talk) 18:55, 5 August 2022 (UTC) Just so you know, I've filed an edit dispute at Forum:NB:Edit_dispute_on_TIE_Defender_And_B-Wing.~Tora (To4oo4) (talk) 22:31, 5 August 2022 (UTC)

Hello! I was wondering about the references you made to these Forces of Destiny episodes on 8th November 2020. For The Padawan Path, you wrote that the episodes takes place between ARC Troopers and Heroes on Both Sides. Matt Martin on twitter said that the episode occurs before Heroes of both sides, but I am unsure as to why the episode takes place after Arc Troopers? Same goes for The Starfighter Stunt, why does it take place between Arc Troopers and Heroes on both sides? From what I can see Matt Martin hasnt said anything about that episode. Thanks! However, for any images on the right side, use this format div style="float: right", but add the greater and less than symbols on their respective sides, and then add the file name—div style="float: right"File name—with your description. --Erebus Chronus (talk) 04:44, May 12, 2020 (UTC)

 • If you seek help on the format for the right sided images, go to the article Venator-class Star Destroyer, and look at the format for the second image, the one on the right in the Characteristics section. Hope this helps. --Erebus Chronus (talk) 05:17, May 12, 2020 (UTC)
 • No problem. I also thank you for expanding on these articles, I was planning to make it a project of my own after seeing that they were surprisingly devoid of information, but it would have been time consuming and I do still have other projects I'm working on currently, as you may have frequently noticed by the Venator-class Star Destroyer article and the regional articles (that's a nightmare). --Erebus Chronus (talk) 05:33, May 12, 2020 (UTC)

Canon pages

Hi! I'm not actually moving any pages, just marking unnecessary redirects with the /Canon suffix for deletion, since they're no longer needed. Toqgers (talk) 04:54, May 16, 2020 (UTC)

Moving comic pages

Hello, we probably should wait until we start getting more regular releases of comics before we start moving pages. We currently don't have any proof the series is getting to issue 13 let alone all the way to 27. Its a bit premature to move all of these pages right now, therefore we should revert the changes for now --Lewisr (talk) 01:21, May 18, 2020 (UTC)

 • I would avoid doing that for the moment, since per the policy it was only intended for canon comics at this time with a decision to be made on the Legends one at a later point --Lewisr (talk) 01:26, May 18, 2020 (UTC)

Warning

 • Thank you for your apology and for understanding. I appreciate you had good intentions, but you're right, in future please bring up these things before going ahead and mass moving pages. And yes, generally, if you make a mistake, be it small or large, you're expected to help sort it out the best you can. But regardless, it's done now, and I can see you've learnt from this experience which is the main thing. TommyMacaroni 16:01, May 20, 2020 (UTC)

Open Circle Fleet appearances

Hey, thank you for minimizing my work for me on adding the Open Circle Fleet link to the appearances on some articles, but for many of them, you have caused me an accidental edit conflict. Don't worry, it's fine, just please be careful when editing articles related to the topic undergoing a major edit. I hope I'm not coming off as... rude in any possible way. 19:10, May 22, 2020 (UTC)

 • Don't worry about it, it was just poor timing on both our parts, heh. Nothing but a minor difficulty. Cheers! 19:30, May 22, 2020 (UTC)

Stardust

Thank you for signing up to help with the inaugural Project Stardust! I had a request for The Clone Wars and Rebels updates. As you are going through the episodes for updates, would you be able to also check for information relevant to an "Equipment" section and add that information to this workbench? If you need help knowing what goes in an Equipment section, you can see the Layout Guide for help. I'll monitor the edits made to that workbench and make sure each person's contributions flows and fits together with the others and then add it to the article when it's ready. MasterFredcerique 21:42, May 23, 2020 (UTC)

Backups

Thanks for adding backup links. When adding backups, please add the links to the repository, and remove the links from the list of instances on the project page where necessary. UberSoldat93 (talk) 18:51, May 26, 2020 (UTC)

 • Also please view a template's page to see which parameters are required before adding backup links. Templates like IMDB and Penguin do not require "archivedate". UberSoldat93 (talk) 18:51, May 28, 2020 (UTC)

Bot request

Hey, I may put in a bot request for everything in the Practical appearances box, since bot edits don't appear on Recent Changes like ours because we're kind of clogging it up. 17:53, June 2, 2020 (UTC)

Confederacy navy template

Hey, this is just a heads up that the template for Canon Confederacy navy units already exists, but coexists with all Canon Separatist military units in . Just thought I'd let you know before you made the template for it since I saw a prototype template on your workbench for it. 00:43, June 3, 2020 (UTC)

 • Probably not right now because the First Order only has 35 known units and the Resistance only has 28 as of now, this excludes their army and naval branch. It's best to wait until more New Republic Era-based media is released hopefully with more units for both of them. Hope this answers your question. Cheers! 01:18, June 3, 2020 (UTC)

RE:Sources

Sure thing. Just getting things done sooner that way adding the source link monotonously won't be as long, therefore you'd only have to add Mentioned only/Indirect mention only anything like that. 07:54, June 5, 2020 (UTC)

 • Hey, continuing on this discussion, could you message me when I would be able to continue adding the source link to the articles I have not yet, unless it's already been taken care of? Thanks! 23:09, June 5, 2020 (UTC)

Citation

Hi, please don't use the citation tag on page where there is only one source. Hk 47 (talk) 08:21, June 8, 2020 (UTC)

Categories

Hey, AminoRepublic! I noticed that you've been creating some image categories lately (i.e. Category:Images from Score). However, as a general rule of thumb, categories should only be created if they contain at least two pages/files. They don't really serve any purpose otherwise. - Cwedin 09:19, June 12, 2020 (UTC)

Warning

I've already asked you nicely on Discord but as you've carried on anyway: please stop changing the location of the quotes like here. Per Wookieepedia:Manual_of_Style#Formatting: "When pipelinking, always place all characters inside the link brackets. Examples: Italics: Subjugator, not Subjugator". Please stop, or further action will be taken. Request help to fix the code for the Jundland Wastes sandbox

Canon moves

Ahsoka Tano(Response)

Star Wars Rebels: Always Two there Are

 • Did you agree with me on the Seventh Sister saying the Jedi are death hopelessly? I carefully saw the scene, did you? I mean I added that detail under personalities and traits. MaxPokemon10 (talk) 21:40, 21 February 2021 (UTC) MaxPokemon10

Hidden Danger and two-part stories

Star Wars: Legion references

 • Nevermind. It seems that you have spotted that mistake before I finished typing my message :P CT-1742(talk) 02:26, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

Anchorhead

Revert
