Sourcing

Please utilize the proper citation template (i.e. {{YouTube}}) when making references. Do not paste naked links like this. They also require archive links, as mandated by the Sourcing policy. Thanks. UberSoldat93 (talk) 12:25, September 12, 2020 (UTC)

  • Thanks for contributing to Wookieepedia! Please note that at least one of your recent additions added an external link without including a backup link. Our Sourcing policy mandates the inclusion of a permanent archival link in all external links. Instructions for doing this can be found on the respective citation template pages. Thanks! 1358(Talk) 15:27, September 14, 2020 (UTC)

Gial Ackbar

Gial is dead, the credits call him "Mon Calami" when they always call Gial "Admiral Ackbar", he looks nothing like Gial, he looks like Aftab, you don't have to call him Aftab if it's not confirmed, but please don't call him Gial.

  • The special is literally about time travel. Greedo is also in the Falcon. It doesn't matter that he's dead. The subtitles for the trailer () clearly states "Admiral Ackbar". Aftab was a Colonel, not an Admiral. Even if Aftab got promoted, it's purely speculation and it's safer to leave it as Gial until we get more information. Tip-Yips

Hi! Where in Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Have to Know does it say that Tip-yips are chickens. The book says that they are like hens, but I can't find anywhere where they call them chickens. Crowbuster (talk) 22:28, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

  • My bad, meant to source that to Choose Your Destiny: A Han & Chewie Adventure, which specifically calls them Endorian Chickens. Ramsay Sanders (talk) 22:37, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

Age of Rebellion - Darth Vader 1 Timeline placement

While I think you are likely correct about the placement of Age of Rebellion - Darth Vader 1, your logic in the reference is flawed. The Venator in the comic is more likely Ahr's than it is Vader's, and it's wiki page is titled as such. Therefore the Lords of the Sith novel and Perilous as Vader's flagship is not necessarily relevant. Venators being replaced by Imperial-class by 14 BBY supports an earlier placement, but it's not definite. A reasonable argument could be made that Vader was on an assignment to Ahr after 14 BBY. Duplicate images

Some of your recent uploads have been duplicates, and in some cases, lower quality duplicates, of images already uploaded and in use on Wookieepedia. Please ensure the image you are uploading isn't already in-use. Checking Category:Images of Polis Massans would have shown that the two images you uploaded were already in use. If you are considering uploading an illustration, and you know who the artist is, look of the category for their images to make sure it's not already uploaded. It just saves time of having to mark duplicate images for deletion. Thanks. - JMAS 12:43, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

  • Yeah, sorry about that. I'm not sure how I missed those, but I'll try to avoid it in the future. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Ramsay Sanders (talk)

The galaxy : number of star systems

The source that says 3.2 million is wrong, it was said to be a typo. In present printings this has been corrected now. Please stop changing and keeping wrong information.

  • No, it has not been corrected. Although Matt says it "sounds like a typo", that does not mean anything. Per the Social Media Policy, Tweets cannot be used as sources. Furthermore, the Twitter conversation is talking about Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia, notThe Star Wars Book, which is what the information is currently being sourced to. Also, please familiarize yourself with Sourcing. What you did here implies that this information comes from The Star Wars Book, which as stated earlier is untrue. Even if you sourced it to Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia, that would be untrue as well, because that information does not come from Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia, and this statistic is not "corrected" as you claim. The only way to source this statistic would be to source Matt's Tweet, which I've already stated can't be done. Finally, the Tweet doesn't even say it's supposed to be a billion, only that it sounds like a typo. Please stop adding this information. Ramsay Sanders (talk) 19:27, 21 May 2021 (UTC)

Vow of Silver Dawn

Hi Ramsay Sanders, I'm curious. What's with the snide/sarcastic edit summaries you're leaving on The Vow of Silver Dawn? Is foreign language Star Wars media really that novel from your perspective? To be honest, the comments can be misinterpreted as a form of othering and slightly Orientalist (even if you did not intend it to be), which we really don't need.

Regardless, as someone who patrols the RCs, your personal opinions may be more useful on Discord than on page histories preserved for historical recordkeeping. Just my two cents, cheers! Cumulonimbus Cloud 13:22, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

  • I'm sorry, that was not my intention at all. The summaries were commenting on how long the book is, since it's been getting new chapters every day since December. I didn't realize that the summaries could be interpreted in that way, so I'll stop doing it in the future. Ramsay Sanders (talk) 13:30, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

Build the Millennium Falcon

(Rover paul (talk)) in build the millennium falcon 82 in the canon section are there any more sith worlds been brought back besides bosthirda (Rover paul (talk))

Star Wars: Lando

You added references to Star Wars: Lando citing Star Wars: Heroes For a New Hope for why Lando should be placed between the Leia and Chewbacca series. Is there text or a timeline to support that or are you going off the order of the stories? Galactic Adventures Storybook Collection has a timeline that places the Lando story after R2-D2 and the Renegade Rescue. I'd go with that timeline over the placement in a comic collection in determining chronology. Tainb'ocu'chulainn (talk) 19:12, 17 September 2021 (UTC)

  • While it's not exactly a timeline, the beginning of the book uses that specific order for the table of contents, as well as the order of the stories. Also, the problem with using Galactic Adventures Storybook Collection for the timeline is that it places Star Wars (2015) 26 after Qui-Gon's death, even though he appears in it. I suppose neither source is great, though I think an official Marvel publication would be more reliable than a collection of adaptations that clearly didn't have the best fact-checkers. Magazine subscriber issues vs wide release

I asked the official Wookieepedia twitter account about whether magazines are considered future products if the subscribers have already received their issues, and the response is that they are no longer future products.

Raxus droid TC update

Hi ,

Just wanted to drop a note regarding Forum:TC:Unidentified Raxus B1s as I feel there was information missing when it was created, particularly on with the second droid. You may still feel it is not notable and worth TCing, but I did want to call out that information to ensure you make an informed decision.

No need to respond, this is just an FYI only for you to be aware, in case you weren't before.

Have a good one!

Missile Tube image

Hi, Rsand 30. I have a question about this image. You state that the YT-1300 Millennium Falcon Owners' Workshop Manual is the source, but I could not find the same image in the book. And the image appears to be a clipping from this image. If so, I think this image is inappropriate for canon, and I excluded it from the ST2 concussion missile tube article. Sorry if I was mistaken.--Tomeito 12:55, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

  • I don't actually have the book, the picture was from some online pictures of the book, but if it isn't actually in the book then it should be removed. Rsand 30 () 19:18, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

Boba Fett's Helmet

Hello, I removed any mention of Boba Fett's helmet on duraplast because I thought it was retconned in Mando. -Bonzane10 (talk) 19:49, 3 March 2023 (UTC)

Kelleran Beq

Hello! not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but why was my additions to the Kelleran Beq Page undone? Did I do something wrong? thanks so much! :) VaderJr316 (talk) 23:02, 23 March 2023 (UTC)

  • Do you have an official source saying that he appeared in the film? Currently it's just a Jedi that looks like him, and it's speculation to say they are the same character. Rsand 30 () 23:16, 23 March 2023 (UTC)

Kelleran Beq

I disagree with your reasoning that the three JTC characters are treated differently. Because their species/droid type are also listed under non-canon appearances. Including all appearances of "Droid", "Jedi", "Jedi Order", "Jedi robes", "Freighter", and literally everything that has to do with those three characters and their ship. All of those appearances are listed under non-canon. So there needs to be some sort of consistency here. I guess what I'm saying is that if the wiki wants to consider those 3 and their ship as canon, that's fine. But there needs to be modifications made to so many pages to account for that. And the claim that we're already treating them as canon is contradicted on so many different pages, which is why I'm now questioning things. So am I correctly understanding that I can move a lot of appearances of species/droid type/vehicle/etc. to the canon section rather than the non-canon section? IHHeroes (talk)     19:28, 27 March 2023 (UTC)

  • Now that you point it out, we do seem to be inconsistent about what aspects of these characters we treat as canon. Currently our pages for AD-3, LX-R5, and the Athylia list them as canon, however we don't seem to have a specific policy for it. I suppose you could move "Droid", "Jedi Order", etc to canon appearances for now, though I do think this should be a topic for a wider discussion or group effort to update these. Moran and Dreyo

The storyline for Moran and Dreyo never specify if they are in the LGBTQ+ community. It states that they were business partners, not romantic partners.—Vuvalan (talk) 18:20, 29 May 2023 (UTC)

  • My apologies, yes, they would be LGBTQ+. I did not see that entry in the game, but if it is there, they would qualify. Sorry for the confusion :)—Vuvalan (talk) 18:34, 29 May 2023 (UTC)

Darth Vader Annual 2 Date

Hey, you reverted my edit which made the date 18 BBY. On the continuity section of the article, it says "Star Wars: Timelines dates Darth Vader Annual 2 to 18 BBY and 17 BBY on different pages. Because 18 BBY lines up with when Lyra leaves Alpinn in Catalyst, this article assumes the 17 BBY date is an error." So surely is the article assumes the 17 BBY date is an error, then surely the date should be 18 BBY? Rxxxxxxxxxx (talk) 13:55, 29 June 2023 (UTC)

  • Hm yeah, I think there was a discussion about this on WP:Discord. If the page for Timelines still treats it as an error, then I guess the Vader Annual should be listed as 18 BBY. Good catch. Rsand 30 () 17:08, 29 June 2023 (UTC)

Andor and Aach reverts

Hi, why were my edits on Cassian Andor and Aach being counterparts reverted? The revert summary didn't include anything on the reasoning behind it. Eyacorkett (talk) 15:45, 10 July 2023 (UTC)

  • Hello, the Canon/Legends tab is primarily for direct counterparts (for example, Luke Skywalker and Luke Skywalker/Legends are the same characters within different continuities). However, Cassian being referred to as "Aach" is more of a reference than an intentional "he is meant to be the canon version of Aach." For example, L3-37 is referred to as "Vuffi", but we don't link her page to Vuffi Raa. Unless a source explicitly says they are direct counterparts, we shouldn't assume for these cases. If you disagree, feel free to take it to the Forum:Senate Hall to get a wider discussion about it. Rsand 30 () 16:08, 10 July 2023 (UTC)

Hyperspace Stories 6 Date

Hello! On Hyperspace Stories 6, you made this template for the date. However, im confused as to why it takes place after the formation of the CIS, and before Hyperspace Stories 1? Also the comic dates itself to during the reign of the empire? Rxxxxxxxxxx (talk) 14:53, 13 August 2023 (UTC)

  • Hello, in Hyperspace Stories 6 there's a line about "Separatists attacking hypserspace trade routes," so if the Separatists are active at this point it must be after the formation of the CIS. The final page of the comic has Brewhada creating Viiveenn's doll, which is the central macguffin of Hyperspace Stories 1, so HS 6 must be before HS 1. Rsand 30 () 17:32, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
