Iron Citadel

According to the quasi-historical Qel-Droma Epics, the Iron Citadel was named for its iron battlements and was thought impenetrable. Having repelled invasion and infiltration by the Galactic Republic, Mandalorians, Sith and the Jedi Order, the Iron Citadel was eventually conquered by the Krath following a military coup and served as a command center in their bloody crusade against the Jedi Order. The epics further stated that Mandalorian Crusaders serving under Qel-Droma rode Basilisk war droids into combat out of the fortress.

Despite being regarded as a legendary site, Qel-Droma Epics scholars during the Imperial era made fruitless expeditions trying to find the ancient battlegrounds and relics from a lost age of heroes. Among the rumored artifacts to be housed within the ruins were the lightsaber crystal of Ulic-Qel Droma, the Krath Translation Talisman of Satal Keto, and an operational Basilisk war droid. Many outside the Empress Teta system doubted that it ever existed at all. Locals on the planet insisted that it formed the foundations of the modern Tetan Royal Palace, while a small minority believed that it was buried deep beneath the modern cityscape and served as a shrine for surviving Krath loyalists. Others believed the Republic destroyed the citadel while retaking the system from the Krath.
