The Empress Teta system was a star system located in the Koros sector of the Deep Core, containing the planet Empress Teta and its moon, Atale. Carbonite mines within the system were conquered by a group known as the Krath thousands of years before the New Republic Era. At some point they also conquered the system itself, and later the Galactic Republic reclaimed the system from the Krath.
According to the Qel-Droma Epics, the system had once been known as the Koros system, but the name was changed after the system's unification by the legendary Empress Teta.
