During the Clone Wars, the Zygerrian royal guard was under the command of Prime Minister Atai Molec. Following abduction of Kiros' Togruta colonists, the royal guard brought Lars Quell and his slave before their queen, Miraj Scintel. At the slave pits, one of the guards then spotted two of their own freeing Governor Gupat Roshti. The guards tortured one of them, until Molec recognized him as Obi-Wan Kenobi. The royal guard then came when Lars and his slave revealed themeselves to be Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano. They were able to subdue Rex, Kenobi, and Tano. Skywalker was harder to subdue with their electro-whips.
When Count Dooku arrived at Molec's request, Scintel left several guards to keep an eye on Skywalker. However, they were knocked out by Skywalker. Following Dooku's murder of Scintel, the Royal guards believed Dooku when he told them that the queen was killed by Skywalker. Following Skywalker's and Tano's escape, the Royal guards then herded Roshti and several of his people at Kadavo's slave processing facility into a electrified chamber to dropped into lava. Several of the guards then flew HH-87 Starhoppers against Jedi General Plo Koon's fighters.
