She would meet with him at Redhill Hall, where he would inform her of the existence of an unclaimed nyix mine on the planet of Hoxim. Lakuviv explained that having such a mine would bring back glory and prestige to the Xodlak family and would elevate them to Ruling Family status. Lakuviv explained that he wished to capture Hoxim using Xodlak warships. However, Lakooni believed this situation to be a trap by the Agbui, and denied Lakuviv any such action. Lakuviv then stated that the Cuduyo family Patriarch is considering using the Xodlak warships on Celwis for his own family emergency concerning the nyix mine, and Lakooni, outraged, demanded to use Lakuviv's comm to secure the Xodlak ships. However, this call was tapped by Lakuviv, who recorded the rolling authorization codes used in the beginnings and endings of her directives. Lakuviv informed Lakooni that he used these authorization codes to initiate a Xodlak family emergency, calling all Xodlak active-duty officers to staff the Xodlak warships to take Hoxim. When Lakooni threatened to countermand his emergency summons, Lakuviv pulled a charric and took her hostage. At the same time, the Agbui, who manipulated Lakuviv into these actions, also manipulated the Pommrio and Erighal families into initiating their own family emergencies to take Hoxim, hoping that the three competing claims would start a civil war in the Ascendancy. However, this plot failed, due to the actions of Chiss Senior Captains Mitth'raw'nuruodo (Thrawn) and Xodlak'in'daro (Lakinda) and Mid Captain Csap'ro'strob (Apros). Lakuviv and his senior aide, Xodlak'ji'iprip (Lakjiip), were then imprisoned for their actions.
