Talk: StarsiderSWG

Thank you for contributing to Wookieepedia. I see that you have made quite a few Galaxies-related articles. However, please remember that {{char-stub}} or any stub template must go after the main text body and before appearances. I've seen you placed them before the text, which is not the way it's done. Also, for characters, it is appropriate to place a {{Top}} template on the top of the page, too. Cheers, JangFett 21:13, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

There's a button at the top for moving pages properly. Don't copy and paste them to a new name. -- I need a name 16:52, July 14, 2010 (UTC)

Hey. Do you plan to work on your Imperial Oasis good article nomination? There are several unaddressed objection that have been there for a week; and if you don't address them within two weeks, the AgriCorps will start a vote to remove your nomination. Thanks. -- 1358  19:29, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

Hey there. Thanks for contributing with the creation of new pages. I just wanted to remind you that each article needs to be placed in the appropriate category. Thanks. 17:54, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Your uploads from SWG are great, but they'd be even more awesome if you would throw as some image categories on them. SinisterSamurai 01:24, December 22, 2010 (UTC)

Hi, when creating your numerous SWG articles, please note one should say <name> was an individual who lived rather than <name> was an individual that lived. Cheers. 1358 (Talk) 20:25, January 6, 2011 (UTC)

You seem to have a reason to believe Yoda Stories should not be considered non-canon. Wookieepedia has always treated this video game as a non-canon source. Please explain your reasoning before changing every article to your preference. Toprawa and Ralltiir 21:18, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

Hey Starsider—I was wondering if you had played the Death Troopers content on SWG? I had some questions regarding the backstory and was hoping you could help me out. Darth Trayus 00:42, August 3, 2011 (UTC)

I am removing it because it's speculation. There is no real connection. For all we know, those characters could be named after the Asst Prof of Ag Econ & Cons Scien/Retail at Purdue. Without any confirmation, it really shouldn't be mentioned even in a BTS section. <-Omicron 15:51, August 19, 2011 (UTC)

Please note that an objection still remains on your Imperial Oasis GAN, and since it just reached its two-week inactivity period, the nomination is now subject to removal by the AgriCorps. Since the nomination is just one AC vote away from passing, I'd recommend trying to address Tommy's remaining objection as soon as possible. Thank you. CC7567 18:37, September 10, 2011 (UTC)

Hi Starsider, I'm Hunter Kahn. I saw on the talk page for SWG that you were in the process of gathering as much SWG-related info as possible before the servers shut down, and that you've already taken a lot of screenshots. I was wondering, do you have any screenshots from the missions assigned by Zekka Thyne (Bothan)? And if so, do you think you could send them to me at hunterkhn at gmail dot com? I did the FA for Zekka Thyne and would like to write the Bothan-version article up to CA or GA, but I don't have SWG so I don't have the specifics on him. (I've sent this same inquiry to Darth Morrt.) Let me know if it's not too much trouble. Thanks! — Hunter Kahn 20:52, September 11, 2011 (UTC)

Hey Starsider, I wanted to thank you again for your help with the Imperial bioweapons Project I71A article so far, but I have a few more questions before I can finish up. I remember you mentioning something about taking several screenshots of dialogue on Dathomir.... do you maybe have a link to those screenshots so I could view them and get some dialogue? Thanks! Darth Trayus 08:10, September 29, 2011 (UTC)

Hello, Starsider. I see you've recently added Star Wars Galaxies to the Tarrin Datch page's Appearances list. May I ask in what manner the character appears in this game for article updating purposes? Thank you. Toprawa and Ralltiir 17:46, October 25, 2011 (UTC)

Hey Starsider, three GAs were spared from being put on probation at meeting forty today because you said you'd be able to provide the information needed to update them. If you could make sure to do this before the next meeting rolls around (it hasn't been scheduled yet, but it'll probably be about a month from now) it would be much appreciated. Thanks! Jonjedigrandmaster 20:52, November 5, 2011 (UTC)

Hi Starsider, I notice you edited Arven Wendik so that it no longer said he was cut from Galaxies, does that mean he is still in the game, but his quests aren't? If so, can he still interact with the player? Hanzo Hasashi 01:55, December 8, 2011 (UTC)

Hey there, StarsiderSWG. I wonder if I could request a favor for you before SWG shuts down for good. There are many SWG loading screens, using high-res TCG artwork not obtainable otherwise, located within game files. Those are located within the sku0_client.toc file, under path: /texture/loading/large and can be extracted with TRE explorer as .DDS files. Could you please extract and upload them in archive to some file-sharing website (such as Rapidshare, Megaupload, Sendspace or any other) and provide me with a link to it via either direct message or an e-mail? I would hate to see those beautiful images gone forever once the game becomes inaccessible. Thank you. --LOST-Malachi 20:50, December 11, 2011 (UTC)

In response to your SH thread: me and JMAS have been searching all kind of sources for SWGTCG artwork and through artists's websites, official LFL releases and files extracted from SWG itself managed to gather about 700 of them - out of 2000 different artworks total (which you can get here and here). For the rest, there aren't many options left: use incomplete crops of the cards themselves, wait for LFL to release an artwork book or bombard the artists with subtle pleads to post some more of their art (which I also have been doing). Of course the most straightforward way would be to extract them from the original file as well, but the TCG used a different file system than SWG - it is some kind of C++ resource file, for which I have been unable to find a working extractor on the web. --LOST-Malachi (talk) 08:24, July 7, 2012 (UTC)

Hello, Starsider. Can I ask in what manner the Executor appears in the Galaxies loading screen? Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir 20:06, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

Hello Starsider, just to let you know, there are still several Galaxies FA's that have yet to receive updates. Those are: Maarek Stele (same info as every other Imperial pilot?), Keyan Farlander, Tarrin Datch (true you got the image and (uncited) hair color, but what about information?) and 4-LOM. Hopefully some update can be done, it would be a shame for them to have fallen out of date, even with info with canonicity level ambiguous at best. Hanzo Hasashi 23:09, January 25, 2012 (UTC)

Hey again, Starsider. I saw you recently also added Galaxies to the Romas Navander article's Appearances list. May I ask in what capacity the character appears in the game? Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:37, February 6, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Starsider! Hope all is going well. I wanted to contact you regarding that information from SWG's Death Trooper content. I noticed that way back in November you said that you had a word document with all of the info on it, and I was wondering if you still had it. Let me know if you do, and I'll email you so you can respond with an attachment. Many thanks. Darth Trayus 10:21, February 16, 2012 (UTC)

Starsider! Congratulations on being voted March's Wookieepedian of the Month. You definitely deserved it. I'm wondering if I can give you a short interview for the Wookieepedia NewsNet. If you're not familiar with the NewsNet, it's a feature on the main page that we're trying to revive; if you look halfway down Wookieepedia's main page on the right side, you'll see it.

The most recent post on the NewsNet is an interview with last month's WOTM winner. The questions I'd ask you would be very similar to what's in there. If it's OK, let me know! I can ask you the questions via e-mail, or here on your talk page if you'd prefer. If it's OK, e-mail me at gradualferguson@hotmail.com, or just post here on your talk page. Congratulations again! Menkooroo 01:30, March 3, 2012 (UTC)

Hey, Starsider. I'm wondering if I can ask you a favour --- is there any way you can give me details on Pash Cracken's appearance in Galaxies? Thanks. :) Menkooroo 03:17, March 22, 2012 (UTC)

Hello, I was wondering if you could answer a few questions about the Sliv Jurek article that I have been working on.

Thank you for your time.--Exiled Jedi (Greetings) 16:21, March 25, 2012 (UTC)

Some time ago I did some work on Battle of Mos Espa in an effort to bring it to the GAN but ceased for a while. I believe at current its pretty close to being finished but I was wondering if you could look it over whenever you have time and make sure there isn't any information I'm missing. Thanks! OLIOSTER 17:58, March 25, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Starsider,

Is there any chance I could trouble you for a picture of Turr Phennir from Galaxies? He's one of the Imperials in the Ace Pilot system. If not, no worries. Menkooroo 05:03, May 10, 2012 (UTC)

Hello Starsider, can you look through Grondorn Muse, and separate the game mechanics from what's canon no matter what? I'm fairly certain the spacer even interacting with him and doing his task is mechanics, but everything before that is canon. Also, if it's missing any info, can you add it in? Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi 04:00, May 15, 2012 (UTC)

Hello Starsider, whenever you get the time, can you perhaps update the Galaxies information relevant to Palejo Reshad? I saw him on the Galaxies wiki, but that's relying on secondhand info, and also I'm sure there are more in-game quotes than what's shown on there. Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi 14:58, May 19, 2012 (UTC)

If you have the time, could you see if the galaxies related info on Hume Tarl is complete? I was going to nominate him someday. Thanks, 501st 14:56, May 21, 2012 (UTC)

Hey StarsiderSWG. If you need any help with ideas for SWG-related articles to create, I discovered a few of them present in the SWG wiki but not here. I'd do them myself, but I don't have Galaxies.

Here are the articles: c:SWG:Cas Vankoo, c:SWG:Grenz Zittoun, c:SWG:LC-92 Antagonist Droid, c:SWG:Lt. Jarad Gastin, c:SWG:Luthin, c:SWG:Macchbraus, c:SWG:Mako Ghast, c:SWG:Rek Thelcar, c:SWG:SWL-5 Overseer Droid, c:SWG:Stuvany Inglen, c:SWG:ZH-28 Droid, Dakar.

Cheers! Stake black 20:08, June 2, 2012 (UTC)

I noticed you moved Whisper to Whisper (perfume) and then copied and pasted the contents of Whisper (Bith) into the Whisper page. Since this isn't the correct way of moving a page, I restored the Whisper (Bith) article and tagged Whisper for deletion so it could be moved properly. However, you've switched the CSD tag on the pages, so I was wondering which title you want the Bith's page at, Whisper (Bith) or Whisper? -- I need a name 19:54, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Starsider. I just wanted to check in about that Death Troopers information from a while back. I got the first document you sent, but never anything after that. Thanks, and I hope all is well. Darth Trayus 21:34, June 20, 2012 (UTC)

Hello Starsider, I saw that Trey Callum apparently appears in Galaxies, through a comm window. I'm assuming this is the Battle of Hoth, and there's no new info, correct? Hanzo Hasashi 23:00, June 20, 2012 (UTC)

Hello, if you don't mind could you look over Goru Rainstealer when you have the time? I want to make sure that I have all of the information about the character present and correct before I try for a featured article nomination. Thank you for your time.--Exiled Jedi (Greetings) 19:35, July 1, 2012 (UTC)

Hello, StarsiderSWG! I was curious about something. You've added this flag of Dathomir on the planet's article recently, and I wondered in what kind of context it appeared in the game. After all, Dathomir has no central government, so it seems a little odd there would be a flag for the whole world. Regards. --LelalMekha (talk) 16:34, July 9, 2012 (UTC)

Hello StarsiderSWG. You may know I'm currently working on the Sanyassan article, in hopes of turning it into a FA in the near future. I was wondering if you could help me find answers to a few questions regarding the Sanyassans featured in SW Galaxies. Regards. --LelalMekha (talk) 22:04, July 12, 2012 (UTC)

That's all I can think of for now. --LelalMekha (talk) 22:16, July 12, 2012 (UTC)

Hello, do you have any information about Dathomir outbreak and Quarantine Zone? 14:53, July 20, 2012 (UTC)

Hello Starsider, I remember the time when you helped update the various Imperial pilots in Galaxies, and I notice that articles such as DS-181-4 and Turr Phennir had text that they "Fought in the Corellian, Dantooine, Karthakk, Naboo, and Tatoo systems," which had them "support an Imperial Lancer-class frigate as it squared off against a Rebel EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate." I have noticed that articles such as Chiraneau and Vindoo Barvel don't have this info. Can those characters also be found participating in those battles? Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 01:02, August 3, 2012 (UTC)

I just have a quick question about your recent change to the Goru Rainstealer article. Before his appearance was set to being Human at all times, was Rainstealer always a Bith, or could he have been any species? This is what you implied in the article with your change, and I wanted to make sure that the article was accurate. Thank you for your time.--Exiled Jedi (Greetings) 00:08, August 28, 2012 (UTC)

Hello! I just created an article about the asteroid belt shown around Tatooine. As you can read, this asteroid field is something of an oddity, as it only appeared in two video games. I see there already exists an article about the "Dragon's Spine asteroid field", which appeared in Star Wars Galaxies. Do you know whether the planet featured on the picture is Tatooine? Thanks in advance. --LelalMekha (talk) 20:58, September 10, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Starsider,

Thanks for adding the Galaxies appearance to Mermeia! Would you happen to know the nature of her appearance? Menkooroo (talk) 23:08, September 18, 2012 (UTC)

Hello Starsider, would you be able to expand the Star Wars Galaxies info for M'Kae? He is a potential future project of mine. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 21:48, November 14, 2012 (UTC)

Hello StarsiderSWG! I wanted to know if you had any more information on the Tzarina, a Star Tours liner that crashed on Dathomir in Star Wars Galaxies. Anything new, such as NPC dialogue explaining the circumstances of the crash would be most welcome. Cheers. --LelalMekha (talk) 20:31, January 10, 2013 (UTC)

Hello Starsider, just saw that for a while you have not actively responded to objections on your Radanthus Mandelatara GAN, and about a week ago I actually answered objections for you to prevent the nom from failing. Just wanted to give a heads up about some recent objections posted to the nom. Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 01:48, January 18, 2013 (UTC)

Hello StarsiderSWG. I wondered if I could, once again, benefit from your Galaxies knowledge. When I started working on the Naboo Elders' articles, it was already written, although unsourced, that ruins similar to the Gungan sacred place could be found on Rori. I though perhaps you can confirm/invalidate this? Thanks in advance. --LelalMekha (talk) 15:41, April 22, 2013 (UTC)

Hello Starsider, as you said you have more quotes for M'Kae from Galaxies that just needed to be sorted, do you have anything new beyond what is already on my talk page? I'd like to see if any other quotes would reveal things about his personality for the P & T section, and after having all the quotes would like to see what to put in that said section. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 04:27, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

Hello StarsiderSWG. Since you seem good at extracting dds texture files in Star Wars Galaxies, I wanted to ask you something. I know that the Naboo emblem appeared in the game. You can see it on the central banner hanging on the facade of the Theed Royal Palace. If it's possible, could you extract the texture of that banner? Thanks in advance. --LelalMekha (talk) 16:35, May 28, 2013 (UTC)

Hello Starsider, just wanted to remind you about looking into Galaxies for more info on M'Kae, I believe he had some quite interesting stuff related to Rebel players. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 18:34, July 20, 2013 (UTC)

Hello Starsider, I have a couple of questions about the Unidentified blackmailer. For one, are we able to identify his blaster pistol, and are his clothes always that same jumpsuit shown in that picture of him as a female, regardless of his appearance? Also, are you able to confirm that he and Palejo Reshad are not mentioned in any of the strategy guides? I know you were able to check those before you renominated Radanthus Mandelatara. As Reshad is a GA, I want to be sure no sources are missing for him. Thanks in advance. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 16:12, August 2, 2013 (UTC)

Hey Starsider! I've noticed you have some experience with diving into the SWG archive files and I was wondering if you could find any dialogue files relating to the Old Man. Specifically the dialogue he would say to the play when conversed with during the Force sensitive process. I plan to bring him to status at some point and this information would be invaluable if you can provide it. Thanks! OLIOSTER 22:49, August 13, 2013 (UTC)

I wanted to know whether you could dig out some of the dialogues with Ebenn Q3 Baobab in Star Wars Galaxies. Specifically, I would like to know in what terms the Galactic Phrase Book & Travel Guide was mentioned. Could you please try and find it whenever you have a minute? Cheers. --LelalMekha (talk) 11:58, August 19, 2013 (UTC)

Hey, Starsider; I'm working through some old WEG RPG stuff, and came across Ignar Ominaz. Since he's got a subsequent Galaxies appearance, I was wondering if you could possibly give me any info on the character and what the timeframe for Galaxies is since it would be helpful in (attempting to) nailing down his death date on Caprioril. Thanks in advance. - Sir Cavalier of One 18:01, August 21, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the picture. This confirms the appearance I thought I remembered. Good job noticing the green eyes. Personally, I think the very easy IU explanation for every character whose eye colors are inconsistent is that they are wearing lenses for one of the occasions, with the other being the true color. Nonetheless, I'll make a note of that. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 03:06, August 26, 2013 (UTC)

I've declined the CSD tag in the article since it was TC'd back in 2006 and the consensus was keep. You can always start a new TC to delete the article (I agree with what you said in the tag since I am familiar with Galaxies as well.) JangFett 11:10, September 10, 2013 (UTC)

I have a good quality artwork of Kinetic armor from the SWGTCG card, but I know nothing about the subject matter. I looked at two articles on the SWG Wiki, but they tell me nothing. Here and here. As our resident SWG expert, can you create an article for this type of armor? Then let me know and I'll put in the image. - JMAS 03:59, September 12, 2013 (UTC)-

Thanks for the heads up, Starsider! Now I hope there is nothing else about him burried in the game files, lest my FA nomination looks woefully incomplete. ^^' --LelalMekha (talk) 10:44, September 24, 2013 (UTC)

Hello! I'm sorry to trouble you with Galaxies again, but you seem to be the last expert in that field. ;-) I wished to know whether you could find anything in the game dialogues relating to King Narmlé—whose name was spelled "Narmle" back then—and about the date of Kylantha's coronation. Everywhere on the Wook, you can find that Kylantha became queen in 6 BBY, but I'm having trouble finding an actual source for that. Perhaps it comes from the in-game dialogues? Thanks in advance. --LelalMekha (talk) 11:46, February 8, 2014 (UTC)

Hello Starsider, just wanted to ask if the events for the Chertyl Ruluwoor mission can actually be confirmed as 1 ABY, or if it's just one of those vague times between Yavin and Hoth. I would be personally leaning towards the latter, but maybe it really is established as 1 ABY by the game. Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 02:54, February 14, 2014 (UTC)

Hello, Starsider. I'm curious as to why you moved "Bloom Fruit" to "Bloom fruit," since you didn't specify a reason in the edit summary. I had created the page based on the title of the subject's naming on the SWG Wiki, which seems consistent with the capitalization of other subjects. Does the game actually refer to the item as "bloom fruit" and not "Bloom Fruit"? Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 16:54, January 14, 2016 (UTC)

Hey, Starsider, autosuggest works in Special:Upload now, so you don't have to do the whole creating the file page first thing that you've been doing (I assume that's why). Cade Calrayn 16:46, January 25, 2016 (UTC)

Hello there I saw you have recently edited a page regarding Aartan Ridge in SWG and the Mos Espa race track.

Just to let you know Aartan Ridge was the first ever player city created and indeed the name is non-canon and fan created. The city was built on the Farstar server (EU).

I was part of the Aartan Ridge guild and helped plan and implement the city. After the city was established one of our members - Talon Karde (who somehow managed to get a canon name...) - mapped out the Mos Espa race track route that happened to run right next to the city.

Talon's waypoints and screenshots were later featured on the Star Wars Galaxies SOE community website.

Hope this helps establish where "Aartan" comes from. After SWG a lot of the guild moved on to other games and kept in touch via the "worlds away" forum on www.mmorpg.org.uk website

Hey! Just wanted to ask if there was any source that confirms the Anti-Riot Tangle Gun 7 and the tangle pistol from Galaxies as the same weapon. They do look very similar in the images, but I'm hesitant to consider that enough evidence. Thanks! MasterFred 00:04, July 9, 2017 (UTC)

The article of Khrask, because he is wearing Mandalorian armor (Yeah I know with Galaxies they did it a lot) But what was he exactly doing in the game so there's no confusement or anything like that? If you don't mind me asking that is. (00:53, July 20, 2017 (UTC))

Hello there, Starsider! By chance, did you know the guy who used the alias "Simsimsan" back in the day and made those wonderful SWG planetary maps? Hi

I just wanted to let you know you are correct, aartan ridge was the first player city (actually the first - we placed the first city hall) who's home was on a ridge overlooking the mos espa race track route.

I was part of the guild on the Farstar server and helped to plan and manage the city layout.

One of our guild members mapped the entire route of the track out with hi Res photos and was featured on the SOE website.

Is Ruwan Tokai identified in game as an Imperial officer, when real world technical sergeants are NCOs? Likewise Hooly, another Star Wars technical sergeant, appears to be categorized as an NCO as well, provided the accuracy of the article which I can’t personally verify. Hi there, Starsider. I've got a SWG question and I've been told you can help. Is their any dialogue or other information in the game that indicates when Pooja Naberrie became a senator? This info has been sourced to the game for years but I haven't been able to confirm it. It might come from Pooja herself, or other NPCs on Naboo, or somewhere else in the game. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! RattsT (talk) 00:14, 23 December 2020 (UTC)

Hi, Starsider. You can't get a transparent-background version of [[:File:Sunfruit.jpg|this exact shot]]? This is not ideal because the camera is looking straight down on the fruit from above it, which is just a strange angle. No one would ever take a picture of an apple from directly above it, for example. You want a picture of it head-on so you're looking at the fruit itself, not its stem. Hi Starsider. I was wondering if you knew what info SWG had on Burr balls--specifically, did the game establish that they're berries? Thanks. JediMasterMacaroni(Talk) 04:31, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi, a couple things this time around if you don't mind: for one, what info do you have on Pikatta Pie? And secondly, how did one acquire Gruuvan shaal in the game? If it was a quest, what was it called and where could it be done? Thanks, JediMasterMacaroni(Talk) 17:03, 20 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi, I'm contacting you seeing as you're knowledgeable in Star Wars Galaxies content and are still active on the wiki. What is your opinion on modelling the {{Tl|SWG}} citation template to match {{TORcite}}? Both are MMOs with a ton of content. I noticed that a few of our Galaxies status articles cite specific elements of the game, while others do not. Information on how this content is structured would be appreciated so that we can understand how to model the template. UberSoldat93 (talk) 19:47, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

Greetings! I found the Binna Jode article and I noticed an extinct items guide I created years ago was used as a reference. I perhaps can help clarify the Veronian Berry Wine quest item a bit.

When I wrote my article I definitely was aware of the Allakhazam SWG website which was a useful guide for finding extinct items in game. I also used Allakhazam as a reference for my guide.

I started the game after the Binna Jode quest was already removed. However a player in game gave me all of his old quest items. I remember getting at one time the various quest items related to Binna Jode. These include: datadisk, Binna’s shirt, Dustcrepe, Veronian Berry Wine, Empty Fuel Drum, Special Casserole, Small Medpack, etc. The Dustcrepe and the Veronian Berry Wine I got from the player had no creator. These items had the same bioline as the ones player chefs made, but their condition were both listed as 1000/1000 and the Volume is listed as 1. The caveat is that I can’t remember if Veronian Berry Wine could also be purchased from the bartenders at the cantinas. Those cantina drinks also had no creators and had conditions listed as 1000/1000 and the Volume listed as 1. If Veronian Berry was not available from NPC cantinas than this one definitely came from Binna Jode only maybe. If one could get Veronian Berry Wine was from cantinas than this one perhaps could have also come from a cantina. So perhaps Binna Jode only gave Corellian Ale or maybe the devs had changed the drink reward as some point to Veronian Berry Wine then?

What is interesting about some foods and drinks is that a bug in the early game I know that a few were not able to be made by chefs. I think Allakhazam (unless it was another SWG guide site, maybe an old SWG Crafting sight?) listed the needed ingredient or the schematic as “gated”. I am not sure the fix ever happened before the one Chef Update which removed several of these food/drink items like Double-Dip Outer Rim Rumdrop or Tranna Nougat Cream. Just some fun info Tranna Nougat Cream and Corellian Fried Ice Cream had the same art. Both items were removed (ability to make) in the one major chef update. Later players could make a different Corellian Fried Ice Cream. It had a different art and was not the same item in terms of bazaar listing and they also had different biolines. In game, my original chef-made Corellian Fried Ice Creams remained distinct from the newer ones created with the fryer.

Also, I had the only Tranna Nougat Cream in the game of which I was aware. The chef who gave it to me somehow gathered the needed the ingredient he said after many arduous hours of somehow collecting the essentially impossible ingredient. I also had a Double-Dip Outer Rim Rumdrop although it was bugged; it had the bioline and art, but it had no name, no maker nor stats.

Just some fun additional drinks/food information. Tatooine Sunburn and Ice Blaster both got new artwork even though they were both removed from the chef schematics. Deuterium-pyro and Durindfire’s original artwork was changed. Also, I never saw a KyLessian Fruit Distillate neither in game nor a screenshot. So I never saw what its bioline and artwork actually were.

I hope this helps. I do have some memory of a lot of the extinct items in game as I had a museum on Gorath. If you have any other SWG-related questions with regards to some of the items, I can perhaps help. I had collected almost everything there was in game. Cheers! Amadis from Gorath (SWG).

Hello, been a minute since I asked you something :). I was wondering about Eopie Cream Pie—is all of the info here accurate? Is that link missing any info? And lastly, did the pie have an in-game description? Thanks! JediMasterMacaroni(Talk) 06:28, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

Hey there, I know it's been a little while since you've been active but I'm currently writing up Grizmallt/Legends and a few years back you added Star Wars Galaxies as an appearance. I'd be interested in knowing what information is used in the game, or if there's any way I could find that out independently. Thanks for your time. Commander Code-8 02:33, 22 April 2022 (UTC)

Hello , I have been informed by other users that you are active in the topic of Star Wars Galaxies, so I would like to know something from the game. Apparently, Jorus C'baoth is mentioned in it, however, I have not found any mention on the character anywhere, and I would like to know if he is actually mentioned. Do you know if he was mentioned, and if so, what his mention was? Thank you. Cheers, — Samonic 10:31, 2 May 2022 (UTC)

Hi StarsiderSWG. I was wondering about the ImperialTrooper.jpg on the Imperial_Army_trooper/Legends page, as I found some references on the internet to a figure that looks like such as being of the "Imperial Civil Patrol" on a list of NPCs in Star Wars Galaxies, and I was told you are the expert on the game, so I should ask you for information on such a figure. Hey Starsider - was wondering if you would mind uploading an image of fire stew and letting me know what info the game has on it when you have a chance. Thanks! JediMasterMacaroni(Talk) 18:00, 4 January 2023 (UTC)

Hello Starsider. I am in the process of bringing Senior Cadet to status, but I need a reference from SWG in the BTS as the first apprarance of Senior Cadet/Legends was in . i'm unsure which parameters need to be filled out on {{SWGcite}}. if you have any idea/can find out, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks! Formatting

Dorumaa

  • Hi Starsider, I'd just like to take this opportunity to congratulate you for all your work on enhancing Wookieepedia's SWG content. I just noticed in the edit history of the Dorumaa article, you added SWG as an indirect mention in the appearances section of the article, so I was wondering if you could let me know where in SWG Dorumaa is mentioned. I am trying to improve Wookieepedia's "Living Force campaign" articles, so this information would be very useful to me. Thanks! --Jinzler 13:49, November 27, 2010 (UTC)

Yoda Stories

You seem to have a reason to believe Yoda Stories should not be considered non-canon. Wookieepedia has always treated this video game as a non-canon source. Please explain your reasoning before changing every article to your preference. Toprawa and Ralltiir 21:18, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

  • A lot of the articles listed aspects Yoda stories as canon, not non-canon. So I simply made it ambiguous. Ambiguous seems fine, since there has been no official ruling that the game is canon or not. Elements of it are canon (such as the items, planets etc). So making it ambiguous makes sense. Dathomir

Hey Starsider—I was wondering if you had played the Death Troopers content on SWG? I had some questions regarding the backstory and was hoping you could help me out. Darth Trayus 00:42, August 3, 2011 (UTC)

RE: Scott Downey

I am removing it because it's speculation. There is no real connection. For all we know, those characters could be named after the Asst Prof of Ag Econ & Cons Scien/Retail at Purdue. Without any confirmation, it really shouldn't be mentioned even in a BTS section. <-Omicron 15:51, August 19, 2011 (UTC)

  • Are you really sure about this? I underatand what you're saying, but think about how absurd it is not even to mention his name briefly in the BTS. First of all, Scott Downey actually worked on the Hoth instance as an artist in SWG. Secondly, both Scott and Downey stand right next to each other in the Hoth instance. Thirdly, no other Scott Downey has been credited for working on SWG, nor does any other famous representation of Scott Downey exist anywhere else. Fourthly, I don't see how it's speculation to say that Scott Downey really did work on the Hoth instance. The BTS segment merely informs players that while Scott Downey did work on Hoth, they shouldn't jump to an absolute conclusion that the two characters were named after him. But still, I see no reason not to include his name in the BTS. At the very least, I would like a second or third opinion, and if they agree with what you're saying, I'll let the issue go. StarsiderSWG 15:54, August 19, 2011 (UTC)

Imperial Oasis

Please note that an objection still remains on your Imperial Oasis GAN, and since it just reached its two-week inactivity period, the nomination is now subject to removal by the AgriCorps. Since the nomination is just one AC vote away from passing, I'd recommend trying to address Tommy's remaining objection as soon as possible. Thank you. CC7567 18:37, September 10, 2011 (UTC)

SWG question

Arven Wendik

Hi Starsider, I notice you edited Arven Wendik so that it no longer said he was cut from Galaxies, does that mean he is still in the game, but his quests aren't? If so, can he still interact with the player? Hanzo Hasashi 01:55, December 8, 2011 (UTC)

  • Alright, I figured he could be seen, but at best he could only say some casual scripted dialogue to the player. By the way, whenever you have the time, just another reminder about the Galaxies FA's from the above message I gave you, and also 4-LOM. Can you also check my edit to Vindoo Barvel to see if he can now be considered up to date? I hope that the Galaxies appearances won't strip any of these aforementioned articles' status. SWGTCG loading screens

  • It's not just the TRE file alone. I tried to extract files when the file was in a separate folder and was getting an error too - only when it was in the game folder itself did it work successfully. Apparently it only provides the pathing for the files, which are actually located in the different TOC files with each regular patch itself. I've successfully extracted them for some time, but could do so no longer after September 15th - when no new trial submissions were accepted and my client stopped updating. Maybe what you could do is actually send me all files modified since that date so I could bring my client up to date and extract them myself, then share them with you. I don't know if the size of the updates will even fit on filesharing services though... --LOST-Malachi 16:35, December 11, 2014 (UTC)

Executor

Hello, Starsider. Can I ask in what manner the Executor appears in the Galaxies loading screen? Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir 20:06, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

  • As a follow-up question, can I ask about what timeline point that loading screen, or the level it's associated with, appears in? Toprawa and Ralltiir 20:12, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

Galaxies FA's

Hello Starsider, just to let you know, there are still several Galaxies FA's that have yet to receive updates. Those are: Maarek Stele (same info as every other Imperial pilot?), Keyan Farlander, Tarrin Datch (true you got the image and (uncited) hair color, but what about information?) and 4-LOM. Hopefully some update can be done, it would be a shame for them to have fallen out of date, even with info with canonicity level ambiguous at best. Hanzo Hasashi 23:09, January 25, 2012 (UTC)

Romas Navander

Hey again, Starsider. I saw you recently also added Galaxies to the Romas Navander article's Appearances list. May I ask in what capacity the character appears in the game? Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:37, February 6, 2012 (UTC)

Grondorn Muse

Hello Starsider, can you look through Grondorn Muse, and separate the game mechanics from what's canon no matter what? I'm fairly certain the spacer even interacting with him and doing his task is mechanics, but everything before that is canon. Also, if it's missing any info, can you add it in? Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi 04:00, May 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • May I also request some quotes for Grondorn's bio and personality and traits? It's obvious that he says more things in that game. Also, Menkooroo was wondering why quest was given a link in the BTS. As always, thanks in advance. Hanzo Hasashi 20:27, May 15, 2012 (UTC)

Palejo Reshad

Hello Starsider, whenever you get the time, can you perhaps update the Galaxies information relevant to Palejo Reshad? I saw him on the Galaxies wiki, but that's relying on secondhand info, and also I'm sure there are more in-game quotes than what's shown on there. Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi 14:58, May 19, 2012 (UTC)

  • Also, could you also perhaps give a more thorough writeup of TK-577? I'm assuming the player even accepting the mission and killing him and the others is optional. Thanks in advance, and I've appreciated all the things you've done in regards to Galaxies articles. Hanzo Hasashi 17:39, May 20, 2012 (UTC)

Imperial pilots in Galaxies

Hello Starsider, I remember the time when you helped update the various Imperial pilots in Galaxies, and I notice that articles such as DS-181-4 and Turr Phennir had text that they "Fought in the Corellian, Dantooine, Karthakk, Naboo, and Tatoo systems," which had them "support an Imperial Lancer-class frigate as it squared off against a Rebel EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate." I have noticed that articles such as Chiraneau and Vindoo Barvel don't have this info. Can those characters also be found participating in those battles? Thanks. Goru Rainstealer's species

I just have a quick question about your recent change to the Goru Rainstealer article. Before his appearance was set to being Human at all times, was Rainstealer always a Bith, or could he have been any species?

Thanks!

Hey Starsider,

Thanks for adding the Galaxies appearance to Mermeia! Would you happen to know the nature of her appearance? Menkooroo (talk) 23:08, September 18, 2012 (UTC)

  • I was wondering the same thing. I've taken interest in the article since I replaced the images of Mermeia with clearer versions. --LelalMekha (talk) 23:17, September 18, 2012 (UTC)
  • Thanks so much! Yeah, definitely sounds like her. I'll give the article an update. Menkooroo (talk) 02:01, September 19, 2012 (UTC)

M'Kae

Hello Starsider, would you be able to expand the Star Wars Galaxies info for M'Kae? He is a potential future project of mine. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 21:48, November 14, 2012 (UTC)

Tzarina

Hello StarsiderSWG! I wanted to know if you had any more information on the Tzarina, a Star Tours liner that crashed on Dathomir in Star Wars Galaxies. Anything new, such as NPC dialogue explaining the circumstances of the crash would be most welcome. Cheers. --LelalMekha (talk) 20:31, January 10, 2013 (UTC)

  • Thanks a lot, Starsider. Peradventure, do you know whether the Tzarina was intended to be Corellian corvette in the game? Because it sure looks like it—and was probably based on the same CGI model. --LelalMekha (talk) 23:59, January 28, 2013 (UTC)

Your GAN

Hello Starsider, just saw that for a while you have not actively responded to objections on your Radanthus Mandelatara GAN, and about a week ago I actually answered objections for you to prevent the nom from failing. Just wanted to give a heads up about some recent objections posted to the nom. Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 01:48, January 18, 2013 (UTC)

Ancient ruins on Rori

Hello StarsiderSWG. I wondered if I could, once again, benefit from your Galaxies knowledge. When I started working on the Naboo Elders' articles, it was already written, although unsourced, that ruins similar to the Gungan sacred place could be found on Rori. I though perhaps you can confirm/invalidate this? Thanks in advance. --LelalMekha (talk) 15:41, April 22, 2013 (UTC)

  • I'm not sure if I'll have enough space to use them, but I'd still like to seem 'em, yes. :) If you don't mind, of course. --LelalMekha (talk) 19:55, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
  • Oh, and another thing... Completely different thing. While I don't wish to take too much of your time, I'd be very interested in anything you can grasp about GeneralOtto, who used to man the Imperial outpost on Lok. In particular, actual quotes would be most welcome. You see, I'd like to expand the article on that poor, delusional guy. ;) --LelalMekha (talk) 20:33, April 24, 2013 (UTC)

M'Kae quotes

Hello Starsider, as you said you have more quotes for M'Kae from Galaxies that just needed to be sorted, do you have anything new beyond what is already on my talk page? I'd like to see if any other quotes would reveal things about his personality for the P & T section, and after having all the quotes would like to see what to put in that said section. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 04:27, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

  • Wow that's very interesting stuff. Once you get all the stuff, would you mind writing the Galaxies part of his bts too, possibly also other IU Galaxies stuff? If not, then when I have the stuff I can do it myself. Thanks a ton by the way. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 21:16, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

Naboo emblem in SWG

Hello StarsiderSWG. Since you seem good at extracting dds texture files in Star Wars Galaxies, I wanted to ask you something. I know that the Naboo emblem appeared in the game. You can see it on the central banner hanging on the facade of the Theed Royal Palace. If it's possible, could you extract the texture of that banner? Thanks in advance. --LelalMekha (talk) 16:35, May 28, 2013 (UTC)

  • Thank you my friend. The image is small, indeed, but I'll see what I can do with it. ;-) Actually, I'm surprised that the extracted files are so small, but I don't know the first thing about such technicalities, so I guess there must be a reason. ^^ --LelalMekha (talk) 22:12, May 28, 2013 (UTC)

M'Kae reminder

Hello Starsider, just wanted to remind you about looking into Galaxies for more info on M'Kae, I believe he had some quite interesting stuff related to Rebel players. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 18:34, July 20, 2013 (UTC)

Blackmailer

  • Just one more thing about M'Kae: does Galaxies depict him wearing an Imperial officer's uniform? I swear I remember seeing an image of him in Galaxies with that uniform on the Internet, but I can't seem to find it. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 22:39, August 4, 2013 (UTC)

A rather large request

Hey Starsider! I've noticed you have some experience with diving into the SWG archive files and I was wondering if you could find any dialogue files relating to the Old Man. Specifically the dialogue he would say to the play when conversed with during the Force sensitive process. I plan to bring him to status at some point and this information would be invaluable if you can provide it. Thanks! OLIOSTER 22:49, August 13, 2013 (UTC)

Galactic Phrase Book & Travel Guide

I wanted to know whether you could dig out some of the dialogues with Ebenn Q3 Baobab in Star Wars Galaxies. Specifically, I would like to know in what terms the Galactic Phrase Book & Travel Guide was mentioned. Could you please try and find it whenever you have a minute? Cheers. --LelalMekha (talk) 11:58, August 19, 2013 (UTC)

SW Galaxies request

Hey, Starsider; I'm working through some old WEG RPG stuff, and came across Ignar Ominaz. Since he's got a subsequent Galaxies appearance, I was wondering if you could possibly give me any info on the character and what the timeframe for Galaxies is since it would be helpful in (attempting to) nailing down his death date on Caprioril. Thanks in advance. - Sir Cavalier of One 18:01, August 21, 2013 (UTC)

M'kae picture

Thanks for the picture. This confirms the appearance I thought I remembered. Good job noticing the green eyes. Personally, I think the very easy IU explanation for every character whose eye colors are inconsistent is that they are wearing lenses for one of the occasions, with the other being the true color. Nonetheless, I'll make a note of that. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 03:06, August 26, 2013 (UTC)

I have a good quality artwork of Kinetic armor from the SWGTCG card, but I know nothing about the subject matter. I looked at two articles on the SWG Wiki, but they tell me nothing. Here and here. Galaxies again: Kylantha and Narmle

  • Thanks in advance for the help you promised. As far as the Narmle/Narmlé issue is concerned, I discussed the matter with Tim Veekhoven, and it seemed that it was he who originally spelled the king's name with -é rather than -e in the Maxiron Agolerga databank entry—because he saw a similarity with other Nabooian names such as Padmé, Saché, Reyé and so on. -- 01:08, February 13, 2014 (UTC)

Chertyl Ruluwoor date

Hello Starsider, just wanted to ask if the events for the Chertyl Ruluwoor mission can actually be confirmed as 1 ABY, or if it's just one of those vague times between Yavin and Hoth. I would be personally leaning towards the latter, but maybe it really is established as 1 ABY by the game. Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 02:54, February 14, 2014 (UTC)

Bloom fruit

Hello, Starsider. I'm curious as to why you moved "Bloom Fruit" to "Bloom fruit," since you didn't specify a reason in the edit summary. I had created the page based on the title of the subject's naming on the SWG Wiki, which seems consistent with the capitalization of other subjects.

Tangle gun 7

  • That reasoning seems sound. I'm mostly curious due to my interest in re-writing the article and making it a GA again (I nominated for status its first round, but it was removed a while back). I might need your help since I have little access to information from Galaxies, if you're willing. MasterFred 22:13, July 9, 2017 (UTC)

7.1 Khrask's armor

The article of Khrask, because he is wearing Mandalorian armor (Yeah I know with Galaxies they did it a lot) But what was he exactly doing in the game so there's no confusement or anything like that? If you don't mind me asking that is. (00:53, July 20, 2017 (UTC))

SWG maps?

Hello there, Starsider! By chance, did you know the guy who used the alias "Simsimsan" back in the day and made those wonderful SWG planetary maps? I'll be hosting an RPG session that takes place on Dathomir, and I'd love to use his map. The problem is that the only version I've managed to find is way too small. Cheers. -- 10:45, March 7, 2019 (UTC)

Ruwan Tokai

Is Ruwan Tokai identified in game as an Imperial officer, when real world technical sergeants are NCOs? Likewise Hooly, another Star Wars technical sergeant, appears to be categorized as an NCO as well, provided the accuracy of the article which I can’t personally verify. If so, the article will need to change in several areas. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 00:57, June 1, 2020 (UTC)

  • Yes I registered the uniform as well, and am not sure about that situation. But anyhow, anything that has sergeant anywhere in the name in real life anyhow is an NCO and not a (commissioned) officer. Otherwise great work on the article, plan to nominate? Aaph Koden GA issues

Hey, just wanted to remind you that next AC meeting is later tonight and Aaph Koden still has lingering issues which hopefully you should be able to fix given how you directly have access to source material. Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 18:16, June 20, 2020 (UTC)

  • Hey, Starsider. Just wanted to remind you about the outstanding objection on the Aaph Koden GAN. My latest comment was on August 24th, so that technically makes it two weeks of being not addressed, while the GAN only permits 10 days of delay. Please respond to the objection soon, or the AC may take down the nom once again for inactivity. 11:38, September 7, 2020 (UTC)

Pooja Naberrie SWG

Hi there, Starsider. I've got a SWG question and I've been told you can help. Is their any dialogue or other information in the game that indicates when Pooja Naberrie became a senator? This info has been sourced to the game for years but I haven't been able to confirm it. It might come from Pooja herself, or other NPCs on Naboo, or somewhere else in the game. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! RattsT (talk) 00:14, 23 December 2020 (UTC)

Sunfruit

Hi, Starsider. You can't get a transparent-background version of [[:File:Sunfruit.jpg|this exact shot]]? This is not ideal because the camera is looking straight down on the fruit from above it, which is just a strange angle. No one would ever take a picture of an apple from directly above it, for example. You want a picture of it head-on so you're looking at the fruit itself, not its stem. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 03:46, 8 March 2021 (UTC)

  • Yeah, that shouldn't be a problem. I'll upload one with a better angle tonight. StarsiderSWG () 04:00, 8 March 2021 (UTC)

Galaxies template

Hi, I'm contacting you seeing as you're knowledgeable in Star Wars Galaxies content and are still active on the wiki. What is your opinion on modelling the {{Tl|SWG}} citation template to match {{TORcite}}? Both are MMOs with a ton of content. I noticed that a few of our Galaxies status articles cite specific elements of the game, while others do not. Information on how this content is structured would be appreciated so that we can understand how to model the template. UberSoldat93 (talk) 19:47, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

  • Hi, Starsider. I'm glad to announce you I finally decided to create the {{SWGcite}} for SWG referencing. Feel free to use it and to provide suggestions for its improvement. Best, Hk 47 (talk) 22:48, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

Binna Jode and other SWG items.

GorathAmadis (talk) 18:44, 21 September 2021 (UTC)

  • Thanks for that information! It does indeed seem Veronian Berry Item was the reward she gave. That's also good information about the other food items, as I've been interested in expanding those food articles as well. I'll definitely reach out to you if I have any questions about those, as I lack certain info on a lot of the pre-cu, early SWG stuff. StarsiderSWG () 23:34, 21 September 2021 (UTC)

Star Wars: Galaxies mention

Hello , I have been informed by other users that you are active in the topic of Star Wars Galaxies, so I would like to know something from the game. Another Star Wars: Galaxies mention
