Talk: Shayn Mikel

Hello, Shayn.

I've seen lately you've been switching some articles in the post-Battle of Endor era (approx. AftermathThe Force Awakens) from "30 year after the Battle of Endor" to "34 years after the Battle of Yavin," claiming that somehow it's more reliable to go on the same time period. However, this is incorrect. The sources all use the "31 years after the battle of Endor" time period, which makes sure that a smaller number is used that is more precise.

Your way is a bit confusing, as why not use the newer date? As the old saying goes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." I'm pretty new to Wookieepedia too, I guess, but I thought I'd let you know on account of some recent edits being revoked. Thanks! NoahR9 06:12, September 25, 2016 (UTC)

Hi there, I see that you are requesting for protection of the Asajj Ventress page, I just wanted to let you know that it was not an edit war, the admin reverted his own edit and if you check the other users talk page you will see that he explained on there he made the mistake. --Lewisr (talk) 21:50, November 5, 2016 (UTC)

Hey, I notice that when you start to write you tend to put two spaces before you start writing, do you think you could stop doing that please? Just it makes more work for others having to clean it up constantly, thanks --Lewisr (talk) 02:27, June 8, 2017 (UTC)

A lot of characters still have none, some don´t even have a page.--ZapikCZ (talk) 18:35, June 8, 2017 (UTC)

You say you're removing duplicate links, but some of the links you removed are actually supposed to be there. Even if they're linked in the intro they still need to be linked at their first mention in the main body --Lewisr (talk) 01:00, June 24, 2017 (UTC)

Come on dude, you should know better. Every time you do that, you are encouraging lazy and bad behavior. People need to be politely instructed and encouraged to search the wiki themselves. --ChristopherLeeGallant (talk) 21:37, July 26, 2017 (UTC)

Hello there! I see that you created the article for the Battle for Tatooine. Do you, by chance, have access to a good let's play of the game on the Rebellion's side? I'm planning on bringing Kosh's article to status soon. :-) -- 09:57, October 9, 2017 (UTC)

Hi Shayn. I'm afraid I don't have full context here. My discussion post history, like anyone's, is accessible by clicking "Discussion Posts" in the user profile next to the post count. Cheers, TK-999 10:23, July 3, 2018 (UTC)

Answering simple questions in Discussions

  • It's not that you have to stay away from those threads and posts, in fact, I encourage everyone to politely inform new and inexperienced users of the wiki's existence. If we give them the answer, and we've seen this in the past, those users never learn or change their behavior. I look forward to the day that we can post videos and/or animated gifs as a how-to for just about everything. Imagine how great it would be if we had videos/gifs that visually showed users how to take advantage of all of the mobile features? My goodness that would save us a ton of time and effort.--ChristopherLeeGallant (talk) 00:05, July 28, 2017 (UTC)
