Frosif would be present during the civil war on Sunrise orchestrated by her fellow Agbui. During this war, fellow Agbui and mastermind, Haplif, would encourage both sides to use flat-blast artillery shells, which sound traumatized Frosif.
During the Agbui's plot to foment a similar civil war in the Chiss Ascendancy, Frosif would befriend a local rancher's daughter, Lakris. The Chiss girl would one day show Frosif her "telepathic ability" to call a growzer over to her. In actuality, the growzer was only trained to come to Lakris whenever she zipped a pocket with a brass sealer. However, when Lakris tried to perform this trick in front of Frosif, the sound of the brass sealer, sounding similar to the flat-blast artillery shells, triggered a traumatic attack in Frosif, which caused her to fall to the ground on her face in fear. Lakris's father, Xodlak'phr'ooa (Lakphro), would run over to see if Frosif was okay, but the girl tried to play it off. She ran her fingers through Lakris's hair and tried to do the same to Lakphro in an attempt to telepathically read their minds and emotions, but she was only successful with the girl. When Lakphro tried to get Frosif to explain what happened, Frosif ran to her Agbui ship, where she would inform her mother, Shimkif, and Haplif of the situation. Haplif would chastise her for showing her trauma to the Chiss, but Shimkif would defend her daughter. Haplif asked what the Chiss thought of the ordeal, and Frosif explained that Lakris only felt worried and embarrassed and Lakphro did not allow her to touch him. A week later, Frosif, along with Shimkif and Haplif, would gift Lakris and Lakphro's wife, Lakansu, a pair of nyix brooches as an apology gift, and the Chiss would accept it.
