Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, Omel Sampak—a gangster in the Pyke Syndicate criminal organization—ordered the bombing of a fight school on the Outer Rim world Nar Kanji. The school was used by a rival of the Pykes—a group of assassins known as Kanjiklub—and its bombing resulted in the deaths of a number of students as they slept.
To celebrate his victory, Sampak hired out the Accretion Disco space station and knowing that Kanjlikub would seek revenge for his attack, the Pyke hired the crew of the bounty hunter T'onga to keep him and his entourage alive. The assassins later attempted to kill the gangster on the station, though their efforts were thwarted by T'onga and her crew. After being informed of the reality of the bombing by one of the assassins, Tasu Leech—a member of T'onga's crew and a native of Nar Kanji—killed Sampak himself.
