Boadil'par'gasoi

Boadil'par'gasoi, known by his core name Ilparg, was a Chiss male ambassador of the Boadil family. Ilparg was meant to represent the Chiss diplomatic mission to Urch, the capital and homeworld of the Urchiv-ki species with whom the Ascendancy had a treaty. However, the Urchiv-ki's governing Tower Dimension had been subjugated by the Nikardun Destiny, and the invitation was, in reality, a trap meant to capture a Chiss vessel.

After the failure of the diplomatic mission to Urch, Admiral Ar'alani suggested the Chiss Ascendancy request an explanation of the Lioaoin military's presence at Urch. Ilparg responded by saying it was a good suggestion, but that he would rather demand explanation; which was Ar'alani's intended reaction.

Biography

The Chiss Ascendancy was invited by the Tower Dimension to send a new ambassador to Urch. Boadil'par'gasoi (Ilparg) was selected to be this ambassador, and he traveled aboard the Chiss warship Vigilant, commanded by Admiral Ar'alani. Ilparg is not used to traveling outside the well-defined hyperspace lanes within the Chiss Ascendancy, and on the way to Urch, Ilparg makes several derogatory comments about the Vigilant's current navigator, Che'ri. She hears these comments, and it upsets her to the point of near sleeplessness. Upon arrival, Ilparg is upset that the Urchiv-ki haven't immediately given him permission to meet with their government officials. Ar'alani and Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo (Thrawn), however, are more concerned with the presence of a Lioaoin and Nikardun ship in the system. Ilparg, dismissing their attention on these ships, makes another comment dismissing Che'ri's navigational abilities. Che'ri's caregiver, Mitth'ali'astov (Thalias), starts to rebuke his comments when the Vigilant is contacted by Urch Planetary and Space Control. The Urchiv-ki representative states that the Ilparg is not welcome in the Tower Dimension. Ilparg is confused, and demands for Ar'alani to contact them again. Ar'alani tells him to be quiet, putting a subtle threat in her voice, and Ilparg complies. The Vigilant learns that they are within a trap set up by a Nikardun ship, a Lioaoin ship, and six additional Urchiv-ki ships. After the Vigilant eventually escapes the trap, Ilparg demands to know the meaning of what just occurred. Thrawn and Ar'alani explain to Ilparg that the Nikardun have subjugated the Tower Dimension, and that they planned to capture a Chiss vessel in retaliation for Thrawn's own capture of a Nikardun vessel in the Rapacc system. They explain that Ilparg was the bait. Wanting to go to the Lioaoin heartworld to demand answers, Ar'alani manipulates Ilparg into enthusiastically going along.

At Lioaoi, Ilparg once again became frustrated when Ar'alani told him to wait for Thrawn's arrival on the bridge. When Thrawn arrives, he explains that his studies of Lioaoin artwork had taken longer than expected. Ilparg repeatedly dismisses the importance of studying a culture's art. The Vigilant's first officer, Kiwu'tro'owmis (Wutroow) brings Ilparg to the comm station to communicate with the Lioaoin Traffic Control, who is hailing them. During the discussion, Ilparg demands to speak with a Lioaoin diplomat and to know why they were treated aggressively by a Lioaoin ship at Urch. When the diplomatic office responds, they claim to have no knowledge of the referenced event, but they invite Ilparg to approach the planet for a conversation. Ilparg asks Ar'alani for her approval, but she decides to leave the system. During the conversation, she and Thrawn had witnessed the presence of a Nikardun Battle Dreadnought. Upon leaving the system, Thrawn asks Ar'alani if the Vigilant could stop by the Garwian Unity capital world of Solitair before heading back to the Ascendancy. Ilparg firmly rebukes this request, stating that he is already far beyond his mandate. However, Ar'alani reiterates her authority over the Vigilant and states that she can decide where her ship goes. Ilparg rebuts by stating that the Syndicure could declare her actions improper, but Ar'alani dismisses him. It is decided that the Vigilant will take Thrawn to Solitair, drop him off with in a shuttle, and return to the Ascendancy with Ilparg.

Personality and traits
