During the blockade, Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo "Thrawn" of the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet led a mission to the Rapacc system and later a raid on Rapacc, bypassing the blockade on behalf of the military of the Chiss Ascendancy.
The blockade was ended with a revolt of the Paccosh species, native to the planet Rapacc, that occurred between the battle over Primea and Thrawn's return to Rapacc. During the revolt, the Paccian Governance commandeered and appropriated the Aelos, one of the Nikardun blockade frigates that had interdicted their system. Uingali foar Marocsaa, leader of the Marocsaa subclan of Paccosh, painted the Aelos ventral surface with an image of a chimaera.
