Zaloriis

Zaloriis was a location inhabited by Zalorians. Shortly before the Battle of Hoth in the year 3 ABY, a campaign occurred on Zaloriis between the Zalorians and the Galactic Empire, involving a revolt there. The human male Maximilian Veers demonstrated his cunning, courage, and leadership in the campaign, and won it for the Empire with the use of new tactics he developed. The conflict on Zaloriis was one of several conflicts that led to Veers' eventual promotion to the rank of general in the Imperial Army, and assignment to the Sith Lord Darth Vader's Death Squadron. It was also mentioned in the Galactic Explorer's Guide authored by the pirate Hondo Ohnaka and his protocol droid DK-RA-43 after the Battle of Starkiller Base in 34 ABY.

Zaloriis was first mentioned in canon in Adam Gidwitz's 2015 children's book So You Want to Be a Jedi?, a retelling of the 1980 film Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the barren and sandy planet Zaloriis was first mentioned in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Prima's Official Strategy Guide by Steven L. Kent,—released on November 7, 2001—before appearing in the LucasArts video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, released on November 11, 2001. In the game, the player controls the Imperial Army, including Maximilian Veers, in the Galactic Empire campaign and must defeat a Rebel uprising.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, an immersive canon roleplaying experience at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida that opened to the public on March 1, 2022, features several galactic maps that note an unlabeled celestial body corresponding to the placement of the Zaloriis system in Star Wars Legends. However, an explicit connection between the two in-universe locations has not yet been established.
