A human guard served the Pijali monarchy during the Republic Era. The royal guard worked under the Pijali Captain Deren in the Pijali palace on the Inner Rim planet Pijal, stationed in the Grand Hall used for monitoring increasingly violent attacks blamed on the Opposition performance troupe. In 40 BBY, the guard watched an explosion destroy a Czerka Corporation factory on Pijal's moon from a viewscreen, an attack that was secretly conducted by blackguards loyal to Pijal's crown princess, Fanry.
The human hurriedly ran to the palace's throne room and informed Pijal's Lord Regent, Rael Averross, of the attack, presenting the incident as an Opposition strike. The guard's words prompted Averross, Fanry, and the courtiers with them to enter the the Grand Hall and view recordings of the explosion. Days later, the blackguards' involvement in the attack that the guard had reported became publicly known on Pijal after Fanry's coronation speech decried Czerka and claimed responsibility.
