A male Jedi healer was crucial in defeating the Sith Lord Terrak Morrhage, developing a shielding technique with which he severed Morrhage's victims of the Dark Plague from the Sith's influence. Each usage of the ritual cost the individual some strength, however, and he eventually drove himself to death.
