Unidentified Batuu vantage point

Description

A vantage point was located on the world Batuu on an outcropping of sand-colored rock several kilometers away from a forest near the Batuu Jedi temple. The village Peka, and the surrounding countryside were visible from the vantage point. It was located closer to Peka than to the temple. A ring of three stones on the vantage point marked it as a sight of worship and reverence for an ancient religion.

History

Padawan Rooper Nitani visited the vantage point during her Jedi Trials.

Padawan Rooper Nitani visited the vantage point during her Jedi Trials.

The vantage point was a favorite location of Jedi Master Silandra Sho, who was stationed on Batuu. Around 379 BBY, Sho's Padawan, Rooper Nitani, was tasked with finding her Master's shield as part of her Jedi Trials. Along with P3-7A, a church droid who was accompanying her, she visited Sho's favorite places on Batuu, including the vantage point, while looking for the shield. After arriving at the vantage point, she stopped for a moment to take in the view, which she considered breathtaking. Nitani was unable to find the shield there, but she had not expected to. Instead, she hoped visiting the vantage point would allow her to think in the same way as Sho. While considering her Master's perspective, Nitani realized that Sho considered the purpose of the shield to be protecting people. When she saw Peka from the vantage point, she realized that she would find people there and decided to head to the village.
