Thalina was an underwater ridge on the planet Kamino, according to the Kaminoan legend "The Tale of the Aiwha Pod." In the tale, Thalina was the location where the god-beast Protas and the sentient titan Melkorr battled. Melkorr had challenged Protas for rule of the oceans of Kamino and, after the challenge was accepted, they fought. Protas used his agility to tire his opponent, and for six days and six nights the two battled, before Protas killed the challenger.
Thalina appeared in the 2005 Legends short story "The Tale of the Aiwha Pod," which was written by Ryan Kaufman and published in the Star Wars: Republic Commando: Prima Official Game Guide.
