According to Kaminoan legend, Melkorr was a dark titan from the depths of the oceans of the planet Kamino, with sharp pointed teeth and large, pointed fins. He challenged the god-beast Protas for rule over the seas of Kamino and the two met in battle at the underwater ridge of Thalina. After fighting for six days and six nights, Protas, using his speed and agility to outmaneuvre Melkorr's great power and size, emerged victorious, having slayed the exhausted titan. Melkorr's blood spilt, his immense carcass fed the fish of the oceans for an eon. Protas thus consolidated his power and continued to rule Kamino's oceans until he fell victim to both his arrogance and an aiwha pod who fought for their very survival. Melkorr and Protas' battle would be recounted in The Tale of the Aiwha Pod, which would eventually be translated into the Basic language by Ryan Kaufman.
