Tachyon flow synchrotron accelerator was a part of an alien weapon known as the Starflash. Hundreds of years before the Clone Wars the Stybla family of the Chiss Ascendancy retrieved a second Starflash weapon to replace the one that had been used during the Final Assault on Csilla. The Chiss studied its technology and made attempts to adapt it to other uses. At one point the Defense Hierarchy Council requested the tachyon flow synchrotron accelerator to be shipped for them in order to use it in a new particle beam weapon they were developing and the part was shipped to their research facility. On its way back to Universal Analysis Group's vaults on Sposia the part was hijacked among other cargo and carried to Pleknok to be traded. Stybla Patriarch Stybla'mi'ovodo sent his Senior Aide Stybla'ppin'cykok along with Syndic Mitth'ras'safis and Mid Commander Mitth'raw'nuru to retrieve it, as the Starflash would be useless without the part and the Patriarch was also worried about such dangerous piece of technology falling into enemy hands.
