The Canto Casino's slot machines had a quantum-layered carbonite shell which prevented tampering. The slot machines at Vranki's Hotel and Casino had their algorithms modified, making it nearly impossible to win.
In 34 ABY, during Resistance members Finn's and Rose Tico's mission to Canto Bight, the alien Dobbu Scay mistook the droid BB-8 as a slot machine for his likeness. The droid ended up accumulating many of Scay's Cantocoins.
