Salis D'aar was the capital city of the planet Bakura. It was laid out in a circular pattern which, according to historian Eloc Throno in his book Traveler's Guide to Batuu, made it easy for outsiders and visitors to navigate. Throno also wrote in the book that Salis D'aar was a large city located within a reasonable commute from the planet Batuu, and that it could offer all modern conveniences needed.
Salis D'aar was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the 2020 reference book Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu, written by Cole Horton. Salis D'aar was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the 1993 novel The Truce at Bakura, written by Kathy Tyers.
