A picket cruiser was a capital ship classification that was used by the Kilji Illumine, the nation of the Kilji species. The Kilji picket cruisers were shorter than the Kilji war cruisers while being of a similar size to that of a Chiss heavy cruiser. The ships of war were equipped with engines, a hyperdrive, electrostatic barriers to protect their hulls, and armed with spectrum lasers. In 18 BBY, Illumine officer Colonel Tildnis commanded the Kilji picket cruiser Hammer as part of Kilji General Crofyp's task force.
