Under the Imperial Starfighter Corps, Omega Group was led by "Omega Leader," and consisted of at least fifteen other members with numbered callsigns.

Omega Flight Group participated in the Galactic Civil War against the Rebel Alliance, and was part of the Imperial forces on Jakku towards the end of the war.
Omega Flight Group made its first appearance in the 2015 video game Star Wars Battlefront, which was published by Electronic Arts.
