At the Lioaoin heartworld, Octrimo specifically makes a comment about the aptitude and ability of Chiss sky-walkers. During the Vigilant's recent journeys, Chiss ambassador Boadil'par'gasoi (Ilparg) repeatedly made derogatory comments about the Vigilant's current sky-walker, Che'ri, directly within her earshot. At one point, these comments almost brought her to the point of sleeplessness due to the anxiety she felt. The Vigilant's whole bridge crew, in fact, had quietly seethed at Ilparg's treatment of the girl.
Droc'tri'morhs first appeared in the 2020 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising, the first book of The Ascendancy Trilogy by Timothy Zahn. He was first identified by his full name in the 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil.
