Obroa-skai

Obroa-skai was a planet located in the Obroa-skai system of the galaxy's Inner Rim. It was known mostly for its libraries and medcenters. At the end of the Clone Wars, one of those medcenters bought a fleet of Sephi flyers from Thustra for use during emergency evacuations. Galen Walton Erso served as a teacher at a college on the planet.

In 14 BBY, Berch Teller and his rebel cell transmitted disinformation that they were traveling on Moff Wilhuff Tarkin's stolen corvette Carrion Spike to Obroa-skai. In response, the Empire diverted considerable resources including three interdictor vessels to apprehend the insurgents. The Immobilizer 418 cruiser's gravity well projectors malfunctioned, triggering a space accident involving several ships that claimed the lives of 1,100 passengers aboard the MC80 Star Cruiser Stellar Vista. Following the accident, the surviving ships were towed to Obroa-skai's shipyards for repairs.

Around 0 ABY, the Obroa-skai's Stratosphere Room on the planet was the location of the Obroan Intelligence Summit, a meeting of information brokers.

Obroa-skai first appeared in Heir to the Empire, a 1991 Star Wars Legends novel written by Timothy Zahn as the first entry in The Thrawn Trilogy. It became canon when it appeared in Tarkin, a novel written by James Luceno that was released on November 4, 2014.
