The Mos Espa Militia was a militia organization that protected the city of Mos Espa during the Galactic Civil War. Yielding combatants similar to that of the Tatooine militia, it consisted of citizens ready to defend their city. The militia was rather understaffed and poorly equipped.
After the Battle of Yavin, the Mos Espa Militia was commanded by Kav Goldor and trained by Major Berok Skoff. In 1 ABY, the Mos Espa Militia was pivotal during the defense of Mos Espa, when Tusken Raiders led by the Tusken King launched an invasion of the city.
The Mos Espa Militia appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. The Mos Espa Militia was added to the game along with the Tusken Army heroic instance, released with the "Chapter 7" update on November 1, 2007.
