Maediyu

Maediyu was a female individual who joined the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry, better known as Twilight Company, off of the terrestrial body Thession during the Galactic Civil War. In 3 ABY, she was posted as a guard at a brig which held the defecting Imperial Governor Everi Chalis aboard the CR90 corvette Thunderstrike. During an engagement with an Imperial reconnaissance squadron, First Sergeant Hazram Namir rescued Maediyu, and she became very attentive with him.

During Twilight Company's time on the planet Ankhural, Maediyu and a few others were attacked, and she returned to the company holding the skin of her cheek. While the company was on the warehouse world Mardona III, Maediyu backed Namir, carrying a rifle, during a meeting with residents of a housing block. She also went with Namir and a group of soldiers which avenged a fallen soldier and some of his squad. During Twilight Company's attack on the agricultural planet Nakadia, however, Maediyu fell victim to the Empire's bioweapons, and Namir stayed at her bedside while her organs liquefied, killing her.

Guard duty

During the Galactic Civil War, Maediyu joined the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry, better known as Twilight Company, during an open recruitment drive on the terrestrial body Thession. She received training from First Sergeant, but did not listen to him during this. In 3 ABY, Everi Chalis, the governor of the Mid Rim planet Haidoral Prime, defected to Twilight Company. The governor was held in a makeshift brig of an airlock in section 10 of the company's CR90 corvette Thunderstrike. After a rebel recruit from the planet attempted to visit Chalis holding a galley knife, Namir made sure there was a guard at Chalis's cell, with Maediyu being assigned to this post three days after Twilight Company's departure from Haidoral Prime.

While Maediyu was posted at the cell, the Thunderstrike, and its escort the Braha'tok-class gunship Apailana's Promise, engaged in a battle with an Imperial reconnaissance squadron. During the engagement, a lurch from the corvette left Maediyu unconscious in front of the airlock door, with a fire starting in the corridor near her. Sergeant Fektrin attempted to contact Maediyu, but was unsuccessful, so Namir rushed to the airlock. The first sergeant found Maediyu and pulled her into the makeshift brig, sealing the door. Chalis reminded Namir that there were now more people using the airlock's oxygen, although he reminded the governor that Maediyu was better off at least.

After being rescued from the airlock, Maediyu was taken to the Thunderstrikes medbay, where she was put into a bacta tank. Upon her recovery she became more attentive with Namir, which he noticed. After the first sergeant and two other soldiers were chosen to join Chalis and Twilight Company's Captain Micha Evon, known as Howl, in a visit to the Alliance High Command's secret base. Many Twilight soldiers said their goodbyes to Namir, and Maediyu handed him a bottle of a strong beverage, which he found helpful that night.

Late service

Over two weeks later, Twilight Company took refuge on the planet Ankhural to repair the company's two vessels. The leading officers aboard the Thunderstrike had been killed when an Imperial infiltration team infiltrated the corvette while Namir and Chalis had returned with news that Howl had died during their trip. During Twilight Company's time on Ankhural, a number of soldiers, including Maediyu, Twitch and Jinsol, were attacked by some individuals which the soldier Brand believed to be the "real powers" of Ankhural wanting the company to leave. Maediyu returned to the rest of Twilight Company holding the skin of her cheek.

Shortly after, Twilight Company initiated Operation Ringbreaker. Devised by Chalis, the campaign targeted a number of Imperial installations along the Rimma Trade Route to force redeployments from the Kuat Drive Yards for a projected attack on the shipyards. The company first traveled to the warehouse planet Mardona III, where the soldiers planted ion mines along the tramways.

During their time on Mardona III, Twilight Company used a housing block as a fallback position. To set out the new rules with the residents, Namir held a meeting with a select few, with the rest watching a broadcast. Maediyu stood behind the first sergeant, assumed to be the new captain, with a rifle at hand to help keep order in the room. After Sergeant Pol Andrissus, known as Charmer, was killed, along with two of his three squad mates, by an Imperial vehicle, Maediyu joined Namir and a number of Charmer's comrades in taking revenge on the armored vehicle. The crew was slaughtered and the Imperial vehicle was brought down.

After two more battles, Twilight Company traveled to the agricultural world Nakadia to destroy the plastoid factories there. However, airspeeders were deployed from a warehouse with bioweapons. Maediyu was among the first to fall victim to these chemical weapons, returning to the rest of the company bloody eyed. Namir stayed at her bedside in a medical tent as she experienced numerous symptoms, even mistaking the tentative captain for her mother. Maediyu eventually died after her organs liquefied. After more Twilight soldiers fell to the bioweapons, Namir led a team to destroy the warehouse.

Personality and traits

A female individual, Maediyu failed to listen during her training under Hazram Namir. She became solicitous with the first sergeant after he saved her life and gifted him a strong beverage. She also stood with Namir holding a rifle when he met with a number of housing block residents on Mardona III and joined a group of soldiers in avenging Charmer for him. When suffering from the chemical weapons used by the Empire on Nakadia, Maediyu thrashed in her bed and mistook Namir for her mother, not remembering his name.

Equipment

Maediyu used a ranged weapon when guarding Chalis's cell and backing Namir during a meeting on Mardona III. She also had a comm with her while posted as a guard.
