A series of attacks on Chiss shipping freighters was undertaken by forces of the Lioaoi species' Regime and the Pathfinders around 19 BBY. Chiss Ascendancy Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo "Thrawn" found out that the Liaoin Regime had turned to privacy to save its economy, and proposed a counter attack to the Ascendancy's Supreme General Ba'kif, who approved Thrawn's idea. The senior captain later defeated a Liaoi force in retaliation.
