A letter of marque was a license under which a privateer conducted raids upon hostile entities on behalf of an authority. The Delphidian Sidon Ithano was granted one such letter, allowing him to operate along the Ootmian Pabol, the Pabol Hutta, the Shag Pabol, and all the secular hyperspace routes of Hutt Space, and to deliver the captured cargoes unto his Hutt patrons—of the Desilijic, Ramesh, Besadii, Gnuda, and Shell families—during the execution of official kajidic business.
