A group of Kudon freedom fighters operated on the planet Kudo during the time of the Galactic Empire. As part of the Kudon rebels' effort, they coordinated their members through the songs of children, allowing the children to play a role in the fight that would affect their future. During the Galactic Civil War, the Alliance to Restore the Republic undertook a mission to support the Kudon freedom fighters with connections and resources. At the time of the mission, the local resistance attracted the attention of an Imperial Security Bureau agent, who the Rebel Alliance forces defeated in order to delay the Empire. Though a representative of the freedom fighters turned down Princess Leia Organa's offer to evacuate with the Alliance members, not wishing to give up on their world, Organa nevertheless offered as much support as the Rebellion could provide.
