Kri'gee

Kri'gee was a Mandalorian ale with light, bitter taste, sold in bottles by the Mandalorians. Kri'gee was cheap to produce, and often left drinkers with a painful hangover. The ability to suffer kri'gees unpleasant aftereffects without complaint was often seen as a sign of Mandalorian fortitude.

After Captain Patrok Ru-Saxon provided intel to Coruscant Police Inspector Tanivos Exantor Divo, Divo sent a bottle of tarine tea. Ru-Saxon sent him a bottle of the ale in return. The cantina on Vlemoth Port, located within the Mandalorian settlement of Arumorut, served glasses of kri'gee priced at four credits each.

Rebel leader Mon Mothma once dared Airen Cracken to finish a glass of kri'gee, an experience he had not so fond memories of. Several decades later, Resistance pilot Poe Dameron read an old document where Cracken mentioned the incident to Mothma, and was surprised to learn that the two Rebels had gotten their hands on a bottle of kri'gee, adding "I was born fifty years too late."

Behind the scenes

Kri'gee first appeared in the Star Wars Legends novel The Old Republic: Revan, published in November 2011. It became canon when it was mentioned in the reference book Friends Like These, published in December 2016.
