Kraken

Kraken was an ST-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid of masculine programming who held the rank of commander in the military forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. In 19 BBY, Kraken served under Harch Separatist Admiral Trench at the battle of the planet Ringo Vinda, where he was destroyed by Jedi General Anakin Skywalker. However, sometime later, Kraken was repaired by the Confederacy and participated in a Separatist invasion of the planet Scipio, where he served under Confederate Head of State Count Dooku during the battle.

Manufactured by Baktoid Combat Automata, Kraken was a masculine-programmed ST-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid who held the rank of commander within the military forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars against the Galactic Republic. In 19 BBY, Separatist forces, including Kraken, of Admiral Trench had taken control of the orbital graving docks that encircled the planet Ringo Vinda. During the battle, the Republic lost their momentum on the Separatist forces after clone trooper Tup executed Jedi Master Tiplar in a premature activation of Order 66, forcing the Republic to withdraw. Afterwards, Kraken reported to Trench of the Republic's action, who ordered the droid to contact Separatist leader, Count Dooku, to which Trench informed the Count of the battle's events.

Amid their conversation, Dooku ordered the clone be brought to him on the planet Serenno, whom Kraken was tasked with retrieving and personally overseeing his transportation. With Tup in Separatist custody, Kraken proceeded to leave for Serenno aboard his Maxillipede shuttle, but was intercepted by Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and two clone troopers. As Skywalker and the clones boarded the shuttle, Kraken managed to strike the Jedi, but was dismembered by Skywalker, who demanded answers as to why Tup was desired by the Confederacy. However, the super tactical droid explained that he was programmed to resist intimidation, resulting in his destruction by Skywalker.

Serving under Dooku

Despite his destruction, Kraken was rebuilt by the Confederacy, where he served under Dooku in his invasion of the planet Scipio, which was part of the Count's plan to frame Senator Rush Clovis with the downfall of the InterGalactic Banking Clan. During the invasion, Kraken was ordered by Dooku to destroy the Republic forces on the surface of the planet and was placed in command of the Count's personal flotilla while he went to the surface and carried out the final phase of his plan.

Not long after, a Republic fleet under the command of General Skywalker arrived and attacked the Separatist fleet. Returning to his command ship, Kraken informed Dooku that their forces had engaged the Republic fleet, but were suffering heavy casualties, to which the Count ordered his second-in-command to withdraw their fleet. Questioning his orders, Kraken stated that their droid forces were still engaged on the surface, but was instructed by Dooku to leave them, forcing Kraken to reluctantly comply.

After the battle of Scipio, Kraken continued to serve under Dooku. During the time of a quest carried out by Jedi Grand Master Yoda, the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Sidious contacted Kraken aboard Dooku's command ship, who ordered the droid to inform his apprentice that his presence was requested on the planet Coruscant. Delivering the message, Dooku proceeded to instruct Kraken to inform Sidious that he would arrive shortly. However, Kraken's service to Dooku ended after the Count was transferred to the Providence-class Dreadnought, Invisible Hand, shortly before the Battle of Coruscant.

A ST-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid, Kraken had masculine programming and stood 1.94 meters, or six feet and four inches tall. He had green plating with a yellow pattern, as well as yellow sensors. Although he complied, Kraken was often reluctant to follow certain orders of a superior, such as when Dooku ordered their retreat from the Scipio system, despite the fact that their forces were still on the surface. During the Battle of Ringo Vinda, Kraken also questioned Trench's command of personally delivering the clone trooper Tup to Dooku on Serenno, believing that the Republic blockade would prevent his escape. Kraken also possessed enhanced strategic programming, and was programmed to resist intimidation and interrogation by an enemy.
