Janssen was a member of a communications team involved in expeditions of the galaxy. At some point, the Jedi Sturm Umbrik discovered the moon Shara'Tam and contacted Janssen via holorecording to inform the individual of the expedition's findings. Umbrik went on about how remarkable he found Shara'Tam, imploring Janssen to send a team in as soon as possible. Centuries later, during the era of the Galactic Republic, the Mirialan Servit, who was a descendant of one of Umbrik's crewmembers, discovered a droid whose memory banks contained the message mentioning Janssen and played it once he got the droid to reboot.
