Imperial scout post

The Galactic Empire erected a scout post on the Mid Rim planet Coyerti around 3 ABY. The post consisted of a collection of tents and perimeter sensors managed by a small unit of Imperial soldiers assigned to provide support to the Empire's budding offensive against the Coyerti natives.

Description

The scout post was built on the Mid Rim jungle world Coyerti by the Galactic Empire for logistical aid. The post's resources included stormtroopers, at least one of which was armed with a grenade launcher, several speeders that were rigged with homing beacons, perimeter sensors, and tents.

History

Around 3 ABY, the scout post was constructed for the Empire's ongoing offensive against the Coyerti, the native species which had been resisting the Empire's occupation of their world for around a decade. In 3 ABY, the post was attacked by two squads of the Alliance to Restore the Republic's 61st Mobile Infantry, led respectively by First Sergeant Hazram Namir and Sergeant Zab, during the rebels' campaign to protect the natives during their reproductive season. The Imperial soldiers assigned to the post were caught unaware and were eliminated within ten minutes after a brief skirmish.

Immediately after the battle, the rebel soldiers destroyed the remaining equipment at the outpost with detonators. Although Zab requested that the speeder bikes assigned to the base be utilized by Twilight Company, Namir declined the request, reasoning that the speeder bikes were equipped with homing beacons that would lead to the rebels' capture. Shortly thereafter, Twilight Company fled into the jungle, aiming to escape TIE/sa bomber sorties that were expected to respond to the attack.
