Heck Ensio was an individual who held the rank of major during the reign of the New Republic. When an armored case bearing the identifiers of the Alliance to Restore the Republic was discovered amongst relics from the Galactic Civil War in an excavation on the Mid Rim planet Durkteel in 34 ABY, the case was sent to Ensio by Durkteel's planetary governor, Vaxvissh Kal Ness. The case contained a collection of non-electronic documents known as The Rebel Files, which detailed the history of the Alliance and was intended only for the eyes of senior members of Alliance High Command.
After Ensio received the case, the major passed it on to Master Archivist Mordianius, who in turn forwarded it to Resistance Commander Korr Sella. Sella then sent the case to General Leia Organa, leader of the Resistance and one of the last remaining members of Alliance High Command.
