In the Star Wars Legends continuity, H'nemthe was introduced as the native language of the H'nemthe species in the 2003 Star Wars Roleplaying Game supplement Ultimate Alien Anthology, which was released by Wizards of the Coast; however, it was never associated with the language heard in A New Hope in that continuity.
