Feltipern Trevagg attempted to romance M'iiyoom Onith at Chalmun's Cantina.

Feltipern Trevagg was a corrupt Gotal tax collector who mostly operated in the Mos Eisley district of the planet Tatooine. In 0 BBY, he spent time in Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in Mos Eisley, sitting in a booth in the back rooms of the cantina with the H'nemthe female M'iiyoom Onith and the Givin smuggler Elis Helrot. Not realizing what was at stake, the Gotal attempted to romance Onith, and the pair laughed together as Onith spoke in H'nemthe.

He had his arm around the H'nemthe's shoulder when the local moisture farmer Luke Skywalker, the Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO entered the cantina. Trevagg was still sat with Onith and Helrot when Kenobi and Skywalker got into an altercation with the criminals Doctor Cornelius Evazan and Ponda Baba at the cantina's bar. Kenobi used his lightsaber during the fight, and Trevagg then contacted allies he had in the Galactic Empire to alert them to the presence of a Jedi. Having also been alerted by the spy Garindan ezz Zavor and the human Garouf Lafoe, the Imperials attempted to capture Kenobi and the others but were unable to prevent them from escaping the planet.

Personality and traits

Trevagg was a master of many trades, although he had average intelligence and speed and below average strength, fighting ability, and diplomatic skills. He was not Force-sensitive and had orange eyes, brown fur, and brown skin.

Equipment

While at the cantina, Trevagg wore a tan tunic over a brown shirt.

Feltipern Trevagg was portrayed uncredited by Penny McCarthy in the original trilogy film Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which was released on May 25, 1977. The character was designed by conceptual artist Ron Cobb, who identified it as a "high tundra creature" in biological notes he added to the margins of his sketches, and so the character became known as "High Tundra" on set. Makeup artist Laine Liska crafted the character's hands and mask, with the hands being modified with fur from a pair that costume designer Rick Baker had originally created for the 1974 horror film It's Alive.

Both hands and mask were also used for the Gotal cantina patrons Hennet Kayn and Cobb Sonbepol, with all three characters being used in a series of supplemental shots filmed for the cantina sequence on a sound stage in Dovington's Hollywood studio between January 2425, 1977. The cantina patron Myo also used the same design of hands, but without the fur.

In the current Star Wars canon, Trevagg was first identified on a card released on the Star Wars: Card Trader app on September 24, 2015. The character's name originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first used in "Nightlily: The Lovers' Tale," a story written by Barbara Hambly and published in the 1995 anthology Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina. There were originally plans to have the character named "Dratun," but that name was ultimately used for a Gotal seen in the 1978 television feature The Star Wars Holiday Special instead.
