The Grand Imperial Union was an remnant of the Galactic Empire led by Moff Tragg Brathis. It was alleged to exist by the Duskhan League, however the New Republic did not believe it did.
During a Yevethan pirate broadcast over HoloNet Channel 81, the Union announced its support of the Yevethan Duskhan League in its war against the New Republic. This was the the first any of the New Republic's leaders heard of the Grand Imperial Union. Brathis, as well, was an unknown name, leading most of the Republic's leaders to conclude that the Grand Imperial Union was simply manufactured by the Yevetha for propaganda purposes.
