Channel 81 was a HoloNet channel designated for diplomatic uses. Messages were sent to and from diplomatic missions, embassies, home governments and New Republic offices. On one occasion, a Yevethan pirate broadcast for propaganda appeared on the channel, where the Grand Imperial Union declared support for the Duskhan League in its war against the New Republic.
