Gaerboud IV was orbited by the Deep Space Manufacturing Facility Sentinel which manufactured TIE Avengers for the Galactic Empire. The Imperial-class Star Destroyer Dauntless traveled to Gaerboud IV to receive a complement of TIE Avengers from the space station. The Rebel Alliance sent a strike force to interrupt the transfer and destroy the new starfighters.
