Flamewind of Oseon

The Flamewind of Oseon was a deadly wave of radiation originating in a star system in the galaxy. It shared its name with the Oseon system.

During the Imperial Era, the smuggler Lando Calrissian invited a group of travelers on a smuggling run with him on the YT-1300 light freighter Millennium Falcon, for which they would receive their share in a massive payout after surviving the Flamewind of Oseon.

The Flamewind of Oseon was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in Starships and Speeders, a 2020 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars Roleplaying game. The Flamewind originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity in Lando Calrissian and the Flamewind of Oseon, a 1983 novel written by L. Neil Smith as the second volume in the Star Wars: The Lando Calrissian Adventures trilogy. It was visually depicted in an illustration by William Schmidt on the novel's original cover.
