The Esaga sector was a sector in the Mid Rim Territories. During the reign of the Galactic Empire, it was governed by Moff Haveland. It was known for its problems from grallocs, creatures similar to mynocks that attacked starships. Around 0 BBY, the Third Fleet of the Imperial Navy, under Grand Admiral Balanhai Savit, launched an anti-piracy campaign in the region—though it was actually a part of the Grand Admiral's corrupt scheme to steal components of the top-secret Project Stardust.
