Dor'shan was a location on the planet Dorin, an Expansion Region world with a helium-rich atmosphere that was the homeworld of the Kel Dor species. A Kel Dor owned an orchard just outside Dor'shan which was visited by the Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs during a culinary tour of the galaxy that he took between 34 ABY and 35 ABY. Tuggs later mentioned Dor'shan in his third cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook, which was published in 35 ABY.
In the current Star Wars canon, Dor'shan was mentioned in the 2023 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook, a recipe book written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak. The location originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in Star Wars Roleplaying Game Saga Edition Core Rulebook, a 2007 rulebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game published by Wizards of the Coast. It then appeared in the 2009 novel Fate of the Jedi: Outcast, which was written by Aaron Allston as the opening installment in the Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi series.
