Creel

Creel was a male individual who commanded the Rebel Alliance Riot Squadron during the Imperial Era. Sometime prior to the skirmish above the planet Jiruus, which occurred several weeks after the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, Creel retrieved what he assumed were orders that his computer had decrypted for him which detailed a redeployment to an Alliance base on the terrestrial astronomical object Kalarba.

Riot Squadron spent six hours looking for the supposed base, first assuming that it had been well hidden but later becoming worried that the Alliance personnel on Kalarba were no longer there. Creel began to decrypt the orders using different codes, soon realizing that he had accidentally downloaded the contents of a flight simulator and mistaken it for a real mission. Sata Neek, a pilot in Riot Squadron, later recounted Creel's mishap when aboard the EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate Hellion's Dare several weeks after the Battle of Endor.

Creel was first mentioned in the 2019 novel Alphabet Squadron, written by Alexander Freed.
