After the Battle of Yavin, composite armors were used by Sith Shadow thugs. A composite armor helmet was also worn by the Mauler Usurper. In 1 ABY, a trader encountered the Sanyassan Marauder armorsmith Macchbraus on the Forest Moon of Endor. Macchbraus requested the trader to craft him bone, padded, Mabari and composite armors in exchange for teaching him to create Marauder armors.
Composite armor was one of many types of armor wearable by players in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.
