Colonial Station Chaf

The Kilji Illumine government's Illumine Kilhorde battle fleet long-range triad transmitter located on Colonal Station Chaf while they conquered several nations to the south and southeast of the Ascendancy to communicate with its leader, Generalirius Nakirre. Through the transmitter, Nakirre received reports of victory from his field commanders; however, one day the reports ceased, leading him to fear that his generals had foolishly extended their conquests to Colonial Station Chaf, which would have suspended the long-range triad transmitter's operation. In fact, however, the Kilhorde had been destroyed by the Paataatus Hiveborn government, which deemed the fleet's operations near their borders unacceptable and sent a Paataatus attack fleet to end them.

In Star Wars canon, Colonial Station Chaf was first mentioned in the 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Greater Good, written by Timothy Zahn as the second novel of Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy and later appeared on a map provided by publisher Del Rey as a bonus for preordering the final novel of Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy, Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil. It shares its name and location with the Chiss Colonial Station Chaf system from Star Wars Legends, which was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.
