When the extragalactic Nagai raiders invaded the galaxy in 4 ABY, the Human Imperial pilot Shea Hublin led a squadron of Eriadu Authority TIE Interceptor starfighters in repelling the invaders at Chelleya. Hublin's victory redirected the Nagai path of conquest away from the Authority's capital planet of Eriadu.

The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Chelleya system, and therefore the celestial body Chelleya, in grid square M-18.
