The Cerberon system was a star system situated in the Deep Core, centered around the black hole known as the Cerberon singularity. It contained several planets, including the urban world Troithe, a rival to the Galactic Republic capital of Coruscant centuries before the Imperial Era; Catadra, a planet home to numerous religious cults and orbited by the moon Narthex; and rocky, airless Verzan. The Cerberon singularity was also orbited by a debris field, containing asteroids such as CER952B and a desert planetoid.
The Cerberon system appeared in the 2020 novel Shadow Fall, written by Alexander Freed. As Freed felt that many stories in Star Wars often traveled between locations too quickly to develop the local history or culture, he was interested by having a majority of the novel set in the Cerberon system.
