Anakin's battalion was a battalion of the 501st Legion that participated in the Battle of Umbara during the Clone Wars under Jedi General Anakin Skywalker. The battalion consisted of multiple platoons of standard clone troopers along with a large contingent of ARF troopers on AT-RT walkers. Clone Captain Rex served as Skywalker's first-in-command, while ARC trooper Fives assist Skywalker's battalion on special assignment. Others included Clone Sergeant Appo and a Clone Commander.

Anakin's battalion was a Grand Army of the Republic infantry and cavalry battalion of the 501st Legion, under the command of Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and Clone Captain Rex, with further officers including a Clone Commander and Clone Sergeant Appo. Despite the presence of that commander, it was Rex who served as Skywalker's first-in-command. During the Battle of Umbara, it was temporarily commanded by Jedi General Pong Krell, and Advanced Recon Commando Fives was assigned to the battalion.
Unlike other 501st Legion color schemes, some members of this battalion had a blue, thick, vertical line on their helmet up to their visors, while in other armor sets the line descended to the bottom of the helmet. The battalion was composed of clone troopers that were divided into multiple platoons, and was supplemented by dozens of Advanced Recon Force Scout Troopers on All Terrain Reconnaissance Transports.
