Upon entering the planet's atmosphere, the LAAT/i gunship carrying the strike team led by Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi was shot down. The craft skidded across the ground and smashed the gun turrets and front side. Jenks and the engineers claimed it would take days to repair.
The strike team continued to trek through the forest on BARC speeder bikes. Another ambush took place, in which a number of speeders were shot down.
While Jenks and the other clone troopers remained in the area repairing the gunship, the two Jedi penetrated Dooku's citadel, where they realized the entire mission was a trap. Hundreds of battle droids remained waiting for them. The army opened fire, and pinned them down on a landing pad extending from the top floor outside.
The LAAT/i, with its engines repaired, flew in and covered the two Jedi while they boarded the landing craft. The mission was a failure for the Republic. Aboard the Star Destroyer in orbit, Obi-Wan and Anakin received their next assignment to Cato Neimoidia.
